The problem that the immigrant community is facing now is the fact that the definition of "criminal" has now broadly expanded.

What makes you a criminal now? Driving without a license? Manslaughter? Using a fake SSN? Having a DUI? Murder? Assault? All of these are being basically lumped together now.

Some of you on here are probably guilty or have been convicted in the past for minor shit. Or maybe worked using a fake SSN in the past, but were never caught. Those things now make you a criminal under the new executive orders.

Some of these advocates may be trying to say that some of these things don't necessarily make you a criminal, or that they shouldn't deprive you of trying to fix your status.

Obviously a very serious crime should disqualify you, but once again, what's a serious crime to you?
