Re: Change.org Round 2 Voting -- Official Thread

I agree lets not loose focus on change.org yet. if we focus on the change.gov site too soon we could loose out on the top 10 on change.org and eventually not even rank in the top of either site.
why because change.gov is vulnerable anyone can make up a fake e-mail and multiply votes like crazy and vote us down(alicrap) in the process.

someone should contact the admins at change.gov about that and ask that they make it mandatory to validate e-mails
and block disposable e-mail urls then maybe we will have a even playing field .

Update Jan 14 1:08pm - we were in 9th place now we are back to 10th lets keep voting
something shady is going on in less than 2 minutes the peace idea went up like 200 votes.

We are now in 9th place, I hope the 3,000 emails i sent out helped a little. We need to finish up on change.org, and after winning this, then we can put all our attention to change.gov, come on now! there only 1 day left, we can do it.. Keep pushing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you start to put the attention somewhere else, then new people will think that is more important, and it is important. But right now, the most important is finishing in the top 10 at change.org. Give the example!! we need to take this by storm, and then everyone will be talking about us, and then we can start doing more amazing things. Come on now!, I think maybe you should lock that other post, and start prioritizing or do whatever you need to do!

You're right. We need to keep our attention on change.org than move on to change.gov. I'll hate to miss out the opportunity to have change.org behind dream act.

Just a heads up, Jon from the FISA idea messaged to say that we should be re-sending messages to everyone we've sent em' to so far and tell them to make sure their vote is counted. He said this helped em' with a surge in votes yesterday.

If you have contact info for your mailing lists etc. send em' a quick note to this effect.

Thanks all and keep up the good work, nice to see everyone gun ho about this!

Hey quaker, when change.org is over can you tell Jon about change.gov so we can team up there also?
