In all seriousness, I think DACA is here to stay for a VERY long time, regardless of who wins. Definitely if Biden wins it will be 100% secure (full AP privileges) with turmoil if Trump gets in again but even then I don't think DACA recipients should worry, as long as they stay away from trouble.

Hard to say at this point. After thinking about this more, I've come to the conclusion that democrats love to lose. Losing house seats was out of the question but they managed to do it. How do they lose so badly in Florida but Florida voted for a $15 minimum wage by TWENTY plus points. This is clearly a democratic promise but somehow they still lost. Democrats are so bad at messaging it's insane. You can keep calling someone a "racist" but if that "racist" is saying I'll give you jobs and protect you, the "racist" is going to win regardless if he's being truthful or not. Voting is a transaction. Give me your vote and this is what I'll do for you, it's not that guy is a "racist" don't vote for him.

On 538 blog Lee Drutman mentioned that many voters are socially conservative and economically liberal. I agree Democrats are bad at messaging, but these voters are also very susceptible to right wing propaganda.

How do you know he won't just kill it via proper channels this time?

This is just me. I have a theory that he will no longer be worried about winning a reelection and just do what he wants to do. And secondly, I know I get called out for this a lot but I still think the fact that he did not end it on "Day 1" as he promised and did it well over a year after, and that too because obviously he was not going to defend against Paxton, is something worth noticing. But anyway...all this applies only if Trump wins.

And to the Courts we go. Who wants to guess on what happens when Trump's argument is basically I'm winning in this State so stop counting but in AZ where Biden is leading I want to keep counting. This is the twilight zone.

Honestly I would not be surprised if the SC went along with him. All his appointees plus the all republican judges are spineless folks with no ethics. Turning this country into a 3rd world country with his shenanigans

As it stands Biden is at 237 with MI, NV, AZ, GA, NC, AND PA left.

Biden leads In NV, AZ, and MI and the ballots left favor Dems (mail-ins and whatnot). Biden has so far seen a 4 to 1 advantage.

So Math:

237+ 6 (NV) + 16 (MI) + 11 (AZ) = 270

Anything else is gravy

I would even settle for enshrining daca (2y) into law just so we have some measure of safety. This is an easy sell but dems will balk at it.

I highly doubt Biden’s taking NC. Too big of a lead for Trump. Plus, they already counted most of the early votes in the beginning.

DACA isn't safe even if Biden is elected. TX is going to sue and the Supreme Court will likely kill DACA.

Gorsuch did vote for the big LGBT decision along with Roberts actually. We can just hope now that the courts system take care of this matter without any personal bias. On the other hand, Clarence Thomas always votes against what is right and I don't know that much other than that.

Crazy! The civil unrest I was worried about is starting

@PattersonNBC
#BREAKING: Large, animated crush of “stop the count” protestors trying to push their way into TCF hall in #Detroit where ballots are being counted.

They’re being blocked by guards at the door.

Pizza boxes are pushed against the window to obstruct view. It’s tense.

Yea. Whew, that us it boys. Seems like a done deal. He'll get at least 270, maybe more w PA.

Gotta admit, things looked much different last night without the absentee votes having been counted yet.

Nevada and Arizona WILL DO IT.

Nevada - Hillary carried this in 2016. Joe Biden is ahead. Clark County is STILL reporting. This is a DEM COUNTY.

Arizona - Biden is ahead. Maricopa County is sitll reporting. This is heavy Dem area!

Not so fast, need to make sure NV is blue, looking a little shaky here.

Looking still good in PA

@FiveThirtyEight

Two more batches of Pennsylvania vote were reported:
-23,277 votes in Philadelphia, all for Biden
-about 5,300 votes in Luzerne County, nearly 4,000 of which were for Biden

*With 83% of the expected vote in, Trump’s lead in PA is now just below 6 points.

I am much more confident NV will be biden win than Trump flipping it. You see the neighboring state AZ flipping. You can tell a lot by neighboring states.
