So, rent contract is good. I would use your cell phone bills if they are under your name. I would use your mom's taxes as a last resort.

How about bank account statements?

They want info from June 2010 to June 2012 . I really don't have anything.
Just rent contracts.
And receive my Matricula ID on April 2011

I made a lot of iTunes purchases? I don't know if that would work

Hello everyone! This is my first time posting and forgive me if this question has been answered already, but when i tried to search the thread I kept getting an error message. Anyway.. my husband applied for I-821D and has a RFE. First here's the info:

Username: lipsoffury
EWI: Yes
Application Delivered: 08/01/2012
I-1145 Received: 08/20/2012
Service Center: Nebraska
Biometric Done:

Original Evidence:

Copies of: Plane ticket stating entry date (10/6/98 )
HS Diploma
HS Report Cards
Tax Returns
Bank Statements
Passport
Utility Bills

RFE Notice Date: 01/08/2013
RFE Reason: Unfortunately due to a typo the date of entry on one of the forms states 10/8/2008 instead of 10/8/1998. They are requesting the following: Proof of high school graduation ( They are requesting the original high school diploma ) and Proof of entry prior to 16th birthday (We received OFFICIAL High school transcripts to send)
RFE Response: We have the original diploma, the plane ticket and the official high school transcripts ready to send but we need your help
RFE Sent Date: Still have to send it out..
RFE Delivered: Still have to send it out...

Follow-up/Comment: Ok so my question is, how do I send out my husband's diploma? It's made of stiff paper and we really don't want to damage it by folding it to fit in the small envelope provided. However, the paper explicitly states that we need to send our documents using the small envelope. Should we place the items in a box and have the envelope taped on top? We did try calling USCIS but they didn't offer much help. One rep we spoke to said yes, while the other left us with an ambiguous answer. Has anyone sent their high school diploma with any luck? Thank you all for your help!

Approval: TBA

I find it weird that they are requesting the original diploma. To answer your question, you can use another envelope, just make sure you include the green paper that they sent to you in the RFE letter.

We found it weird too. We actually didn't receive a green paper and when we spoke to the USCIS reps they told us that without the envelope being on top our documents won't be sent to the right place, or will not be opened. Thank you for your response though, I appreciate it.

I didn't receive a green paper. I received a blue paper and I placed it in the envelope together with other documents.

My RFE was a plain envelope, white sheet requesting some evidence and no envelope to send it back. I sent my evidence on a plain white envelope.

Did yo originally send a copy of the diploma? The thing about sending original documents is that they are not returned to you. I would call them up first.

Could you make a copy and have a notarized letter attached to the diploma? I think is odd they are requesting an original copy. So, I'm guessing you don't have an attorney?

If the transactions and payments have your name and address usually they work. so, you don't have bank account that you could print bank statements from?

The rent contracts as long as they have your name.

Yes, we don't have enough money saved for an attorney unfortunately. We would have waited and saved the funds but we had a loss in the family and our funds have been limited since. We did send a copy of the diploma originally and we called the USCIS to clarify everything. They said that the original would be sent back to us (I have had a similar experience when I sponsored my father to come here and I had to send my original birth certificate but had it sent back to me in a few months) and that we needed to send the original. I think for now we might try to go to the post office and see if it's possible to put the envelope on top of a box and have it taped or we'll just have to fold the diploma. Thank you again for all the responses, they are much appreciated.

You are fine sending it using another envelope. Most people haven't used the envelope. But include the envelope in the other envelope you are going to use. Just make sure you make copies of everything. If you go to some of the first pages of this thread there are discussions on the envelope or search the thread.
