Re: Our lives are in hands of 100 people starting at 2:30
If 100 people cant agree on something most people support, how the hell are 435 (representatives in the house) people going to agree? lol...

Re: Our lives are in hands of 100 people starting at 2:30
It looks like demagogues on the left and the right win again on immigration.
I’m disappointed with today’s outcome in the Senate. I supported all four proposals, including the legislation backed by President Trump. Unfortunately, they all failed to reach the sixty votes necessary to move forward. I’m very proud of the bipartisan effort (Rounds-King) that would have given President Trump his border wall system money and created a pathway to citizenship for DACA recipients. This two-pillar approach is the best way to deal with phase one of immigration reform. Receiving fifty-four votes for this construct was encouraging. We are not there yet, but we will keep working to build our numbers. Looking ahead, I continue to believe there is a deal to be had on immigration that gives President Trump many of his priorities on the border and relief for the DACA-eligible population. - Lindsey Graham |

Disappointed the Senate has been unable to pass a permanent #DACA fix & do more to secure the border, but failure is not an option. I’ve filed a temporary fix extending #DACA for 3 yrs & providing $7.6 billion for #BorderSecurity. Let’s give it a vote asap

I hope the Supreme Court votes to not hear the case and let it work its way through the appellate courts. They can stall it. |

Time to turn in those Company transfer requests. We are fucked here.

Re: Our lives are in hands of 100 people starting at 2:30
I said it many times and I will say it again for our wishful thinkers around here. Trump holds all the cards to this debate (although it appears he has no clue on what he really wants) - if we can get him onboard, DACA can pass the house and senate and sign into law tomorrow. If people insist on ignoring him, then we are 100% going nowhere for the next three years.

I can't believe I went from looking at houses with my SO, to having to let him go after 10 years, so we can find people to marry. Back to my mom's house I go.

Good thing my step dad at the time had filed for 245(I) back in February of 2001 and I was a beneficiary. Looks like I will just apply for sponsorship through work.

Either way, the likelihood of it getting a vote is none. But right now, we're not in any position to turn anything down. Christ. |

This blows man. They could of done something for DACA and find a permanent solution. It sucks for my siblings that are still under DACA.

Let’s look at the positives, we all still have our DACA, they could have easily been terminated at the beginning of January of last year. We’re all still benefiting from renewals as well, yes today was a rough day, but we still have enough time to make other plans.

What's stopping them from rejecting all pending renewals when SCOTUS rules against the lawsuits?
What's stopping them from purposely delaying renewals past expiration? What's stopping them from using our information to deport us in two years? USCIS is being run by a person who just torched the bipartisan immigration bill this morning. I'm not sure that we know. If you are betting on humanity - you have not learnt your lessons from all of the failed DACA/DA votes. |
