I hope this isn't Obama's "downpayment" on immigration

I'm getting tired of hearing people (especially conservatives) saying she was picked because of her gender and ethnicity, rather than her merits. I'd like to think they looked at her success at both Princeton and Yale, as well as her success as a judge. But they won't; they just care that she's Latina.

what you must understand is that she grew up in NYC where puerto ricans are generally represented more than other latinos. the same can be said of florida (and especially miami), where the majority are of cuban decent, and the southwest, where the majority are of mexican decent. with that said, she's a very smart and intuitive woman. obama selected her because of her professional and personal life experience. she's educated and i highly highly doubt that she sides with alipac on the immigration issue. if anything, i bet you that she would support the DA as a person. she accomplished all that she's accomplished by the power of education. she wouldn't want to deny that to anyone that wants it as bad as we do.

Has she ever said anything about the Dream Act ?
