Re: Reid amends his pledge for fast action on immigration
lol the hell?
Well I just read the wiki, I guess they have columnists who are either far right or far left in terms of political views...that paper is seriously bi-polar. i wish the speculation would end and we could get an actual timeframe...ughhh. |
Re: Reid amends his pledge for fast action on immigration
Again Ladies and Gents, I strongly believe May 1st will play a major role in this, we have to build this from the bottom up, as it is clear from that leadership from the top will not act unless we press.

Re: Reid amends his pledge for fast action on immigration
The thing is that no one in the Senate or the House has come out and given any of these rumors any credence. I've heard everything from "Reid vows to push immigration reform this week* to *Graham drops support for immigration reform*...all of these articles only site "sources close to the leadership". Until I hear a concrete report or hear/see a member of congress with a relevant say in CIR I wont believe anything said, regardless of the optimism or negativity it conjures. I suggest most of you do the same.

For the far right, the border will never be secure enough. If the border is not now secure, it is most assuredly the Republicans' fault. What in the hell were they doing for nine years? And how come nobody will ask that question of them? Instead the left makes concessions, saying "Yes, we agree about border security. Let's put into place really fascist deportation policies and just hope that at some point the Republicans finally agree to talk about legalizing the handful of lucky people who are still in the country after the dust settles." |
