If you are not sure wether to blame the democrats or the GOP I would suggest look at the roll call of the last dream act bill and you will know very fast who to blame.

I don't like either party because they both have done wrong, but let's be honest, are you going to side with the side that calls you a drug dealer/criminal or the side that fails to do it right but still votes to support you when the time comes.

The disgruntled dreamers aren't pro-republican. We always knew that most of the republicans were against us. We're pissed off about the democratic betrayal, much like we're pissed off about McCain betraying us. Having close to super majority for four years and never seriously touching the issue until the 11th hour reduces the issue to nothing more than a soundbite. And while both parties are useless, democrats are the ones gave us hope and then didn't deliver.

Exactly democrats had the largest majority in both the house, senate and the presidency and they could not bring home the dream act in 4 years. Republicans are going to be in complete control by redistricting the whole country for the next ten years. Do you think the same old blame the Republicans or blame George W Bush Rhetoric is going to get something done for us? NO it has not worked ever you need the republicans more than they need you so everyone needs to change there strategy and there tactics these have not worked.

I believe both parties have done wrong. The complete blame cannot be set on either.

Democrats were faulty in a way that they could have been more organized, more communicative with their own party and the republicans as a way to persuade, and procrastination got the best of them. Let's not forget though, they were the ones that have supported us at least more than anyone else.

Republicans obviously did wrong with their constant use of scare tactics and straight up closed-mindedness. Even though we don't agree with their points of views, we gotta admit they were well organized within their party for the most part.

"I found it incredible that you would try to place the blame on the Dems for its failure, when 88% (52 of 57+2 Is) were for it while 93% of Rs were against it. Blame the party that wants it; not the party that will never support it"

Blaming democrats, really... they are the ones that tried to push for the DREAM Act.

If you want to blame anyone blame the republicans like McCain that co-sponsored the DREAM Act on three separate occasions, Hatch who participated in writing the DREAM Act at the beginning, Snowe who initially demonstrated support for the DREAM Act, LeMieux who supposedly sympathized with dreamers' plight in his speech during the DoD bill that had the DREAM attached, and the one that really killed the DREAM Collins.

She mentioned she supported the DREAM Act, and she supported DADT during the DoD defense bill debate, but voted no, one yay was all we needed then to save all the pain and suffering and it was hers, she said it was not the right place to attach the DREAM Act or DADT and that she would support DREAM if it was stand alone, she again voted no.

Additionally blame McCollum and Sessions for spreading lies and misinformation about the bill

We already knew we did not have the support of all the democrats, I don't get it why everyone is all of a sudden surprised there were democrats that did not vote for the DREAM. Instead we should be mad about the republicans that demonstrated some interest in supporting the DREAM Act but did not support the DREAM Act after the tax bill was passed and after the elections.
