I hope I bemefit in one way or another, if they pass something. I arrived EWI in 1993. I'm a derivative of mys petition that my uncle filed. I have 245i. I also have a U Visa. And I qualify for the DREAM Act. I didn't apply for DACA...

That does not matter anymore. Didn't you see the Boehner article?

That does not matter if you were EWI in the CIR or DA. What is your PD? Uncle cannot file for Son? What happened with your 245i initially? If you have a U Visa than you are good. Why did not you apply for DACA?

Sorry for the typo. My uncle applied for my mom in which I am a derivative beneficiary. EWI matters under current law, just saying I've been here a long time. 245i applies when the priority date becomes current which is June 1999. I have to wait 3 years to apply for adjustment under the U Visa. DACA is great but the U Visa is better in the long run. I hope that with CIR/ DA ill be able to adjust and get my GC faster.

I thought you had to file for 245i before the 2001 deadline in able to qualify?

EWI matters under current but it won't in the CIR/DA.

3 years is not too far off anyway.
How long for your PD to become current?

You can do DACA now though right?

Boehner is an old school Republican - as was Senator Lugar in Indiana before Mourdock beat him (and then made the babies from rape are a gift comment).

The question is whether there are enough crazy tea party right wingers in the house than there to mess this up. Democrats are down 40 in the house...if there are 40 Tea Party members then we have a problem.

Lugar supported the Dream Act. Boehner wants CIR done. Tea Party are nobody!
Majority are GOP in the House.

I don't know about the U Visa but unless you're very young, I wouldn't count too much on your uncle's petition for your mother. I'm guessing you're from Mexico (otherwise her priority date of Jun 99 would already be current). Don't you have to be 21 and under for you to be a beneficiary? Or is the rule that since you're under 21 now, you can't age out?

I'm not quite sure what this means and whether it would apply here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/usc...00082ca60aRCRD
