No wonder Greg Abbott had a shit eating grin on his face before his lawsuit. He knew he was sending this into a never ending court battle and he was smiling about it and sleeps well at night.

Well, that would only be if he knew that the administration would refuse to publish a notice and comment period - now, how would he do that?

The reason for the stay is so that we are prevented from applying and receiving deferred action because they know it would be virtually impossible to rescind it from us. So, all the administration has to do is the notice and comment on the Federal Register - 30 days. It's been 7 months since deferred action was announced, and the administration could have done the notice and comment soon after. If there was not a notice and comment planned, why would they wait 90 days until February to start accepting the extended DACA applications? This all seems pre-planned.

Etc, etc. Lifting the age cap on DACA is not prevented by this the TX lawsuit simply because DACA is an existing program being modified.

I see what you are saying but I disagree, if this does not affect the Daca Expansion then why is there this big hoopla back and forth about the 3 year extensions. The extension is directly related to former daca recipients. So this is about both, but its obvious the republicans are more infuriated about DAPA.
