Waiting for the "next time" has wasted opportunities and got us in this mess.

If this bill passes with no long term solution in 3 years, they will pass it again.

This is good.

The one that's easiest to pass should come first.
After that they can hammer out the solution for something long term.

none of you have ever explained the logic of this.
what incentive is there for us to get a permanent solution when something like this passes.
we're just gonna be pushed to the side for another 3 years.

Why do you think the Republicans are rushing? Democrats have all the leverage with the spending bills, Harvey relief, and the debt ceiling.

This should be the last choice if all other bills fail.

Well, it's a not a total waste; it does set a positive legislative precedent, but I do see your point.

I hope that a shot is given on all bills. This will be an interesting ride.

The American Immigration Lawyers Association has come out in favor of DreamAct over Daca.

Democrats are expected to gain a lot of votes in the house. Your point?

Relax guys.

I am sure the legislators are going to consider all the proposals and what can get done now and what can't.

So what would you rather do? Get pushed off tomorrow or in 6 months, or wait 3 years and give more time to Congress to work on something permanent?
