immigrants are not necessary for the economy to grow, you people need to stop thinking this and read a basic economics book if you truely believe this.

USA is basically on track to be the next Japan. USA need immigrants to replace the work force. Unless robotics and IA advance enough to take over certain jobs.

sorry man, i just minored in it. i guess my graduate level macroeconomic theory course doesn't necessarily give me the appropriate tools to think about this problem. can you suggest a good, basic economics text book?

edit: you're right, immigrants are not necessary for the economy to grow. however, you must admit that decreasing immigration will cause economic growth to be considerably slower.. sorry i was not so clear on what i was initially trying to say.

edit2: i found some information... it's not complete, but it's a start.

You're kidding me right? It's you that needs to read a basic macro-economics book for clarification. Immigrants are necessary for sustained economic growth, especially in a developed tertiary country like the US. The US is aging and birth rate of white Americans is declining and so the only way this country will grow is by an infusion of young immigrants.

r u srs bro? then we should get rid of the h1b visa and lets see who they find to replace people at tech companies.

with that logic your defeating the purpose of DREAMers (us) we should just leave then.

Next President will reverse it. Don't worry Fortune 500 will not let Raise pass or if it passes, it will not survive and will have a backdoor situation.
