this is the CPC? if so, they have roughly 78 progressive members.

hopefully the CHC follow suit, then thats 100+ members.

Correct, they make up close to half of the democratic caucus. Looks like shut willnget real if schumer bad Pelosi try to pass another BS CR without addressing us!!

Mind you, Pelosi and Schumer were the ones that started these talks! Now they want to say it’s okay to find til December 22? Hell no

its not enough though, cause the GOP can pick off 30 dems. thats all they need.

Pelosi needs to keep all 194 of her members in line.

Plus some of the CPC overlap with CHC. As in they are members of both.

I hope she will! I think schumer is backing out of supporting the shutdown talks. But this was always going to be a fight in the house. That’s where the freedom caucus and other conservatives left the republicans 90 votes short last time.

I somehow think the senate is hard to do, I think if Pelosi wants, she can get control. But Schumer doesn’t have that much of a control.

Plus, senate is where we have most leverage. Not the house.

I’m just concerned schumer and Pelosi will agree to a dec 22nd extension especially with republicans throwing scraps such as chip and more hurrican relief funding.

It makes sense. Republicans need Democrats in the Senate to pass a bill because they don't have 60. In the House, Republicans have the majority, so they should in theory be able to pass a bill. So if the government shuts down because the House could not pass a spending bill or a CR (but the Senate does), then it would be completely on the Republicans for the shutdown.

Actually, Pelosi and Schumer need to deliver Dream Act with ther continuing resolution. I posted several days ago that the progressive strategy is to hold the Democratic party accountable for standing up for immigrants.
We are holding Democratic leadership, you Pelosi and Schumer who sat on your hands for nearly 10 years pretending to fight for immigrants while actually doing nothing, responsible for the outcome.

Pramila Jayapal should be Democratic Leader in the House.

If Pelosi fails to secure a dream act by the end of the year, I think her speakership is in trouble.

The left is not gonna be happy with another CR passing without dream act.
