Didnt he have deportation order from 2009?

This has been my worry for a while. The longer this drags on, the less of an opportunity we have to get relief. Everyone celebrating over the DACA 2.0 or content with the Bridge Act, is ruining him/herself in the long run.

Only because he and his wife sought ways to get him legal status, not for criminal reasons or otherwise.

Yeah man. I know you couldn't qualify for DACA. Any updates on your AOS through family petition?

It's still a year and a half behind so unless it starts flying by (which is doubtful given how they had to retrogress it last year), it's realistically at least 2 years from now before I can apply and I'm not going to lie, in this current climate, I'll have to think long and hard whether it's worth the risk to out myself. It's not a marriage/immediate family petition so I'd have to rely on a derivative 245i adjustment and it might get ugly.

If you want to feel even more depressed, here's a thread of some of families that have been torn apart by the Trump administration:

Yep, the longer we wait, the worst it will get for us. Dems have to shut the government down.

Yeah this is one of those moments that if you even get a little daylight, you have to jump through that hole head first.

Yeah, that's too bad. Makes you wonder how quick they'll be to deport us once we fall out of status...

Well, they know where you live and work, so you would be easy to grab.

With USC Kids and Wife he should've sought cancellation of removal, or if it was known that's not going anywhere the I-601A waiver.

Well, the way forward is to get the interview at the consulate, get denied, and file I-212 and I-601 waivers.

So this guy without criminal history gets deported

Yet DHS telling everybody Dreamers wont be top priority

You know DHS is lying

All dreamers are awaiting same fate as this guy

It doesn't say why he was deported though. What did he do exactly?
