Dream act cant even make it to the House floor cuz the Speaker controls the agenda.

The alternative is the status quo pre-Daca, pre-immigration enforcement priorities. And we are still here but now neither Dreamers nor gvnmt get what they want. How ridiculous.

then we should just wait it out till Liberals get the majority. we are not getting anything pro immigrant with a republican majority.

if DACAers get legalized, the rest of the community will be targeted.

the status quo pre DACA didnt target chain migration, future immigrants, legal immigration, and there is no wall.

Only hope at this point is some kind of an extension (even that would be a 50/50). Permanent solution is highly unlikely unless Trump has a sudden change of heart.

Luckily most organizations disagree. If they thought like you, they would have never sued to continue Daca and buy a few months' time.

Waiting for an election in which we cannot have a voice because we cannot vote is no longer a justifiable argument. It's a lie.

Clearly, you believe in doing nothing. That's your choice. Sitting idly by is not a good choice for me.

The wall and 'chain' migration are just distractions, poison pills meant to derail Dreamer relief. Trump knows this is not going anywhere.

wtf are u talking about doing nothing? the best thing we can get at this point is a DACA extension. i never said do anything. hell, i been calling the shit out of my reps right now to pass an extension or any relief for DACA at this point.

you yourself wanted to cover out all Dreamers, do u really think a Republican Congress and Republican White House would sign off on that with out getting anti-immigration priorities with it?

IamAman and DACA-IR-DA and the rest of us are better off to wait with a Democratic Majority to get all the shit we want. you know that we cannot get a good deal at this point but your in denial of that.

god, you're an idiot sandwich, i cant believe youre actually in charge of patients' lives in your field.

Either you guys like it or not both parties are trying to benefit from us. But imo its better if republicans get their way. But yeah this is coming from a nondaca waiting for something to happen. Waiting till elections and then to see if a good Democrat wins and gets super majority and actually delivers to us seems very improbable. Republicans are gonna do their best to cockblock anything and get their demands. We are gonna be in the same spot.

You're right, that's really our only hope right now. If an extension is not attach to the March 23 omnibus we are truly done for the year.

Keep your name calling to yourself. You engaged in the conversation. Disagreeing by name-calling and cussing people off is exactly why YOU have not one iota of responsibility for another person's life.

Waiting is not an option for Dreamers with final orders, or moms and dads being ripped apart. Some things like the wall are negotiable. We gain more by protecting Dreamers than they do with a concrete wall.

Re: What happens if Congress fails to make a deal on DACA by March 5th?

apparently it is not, WH threatened a veto and Dreamers + Wall that garnered 54 votes.

any other plans will harm the immigrant community and future/legal immigrants.

i have no iota about other ppls lives? has ur parents been deported and ur fam set apart? mine did. so ur in no position to lecture me about caring about other immigrant families.

i dont want other families to go thru what my family did. ur naive to think that any plan to legalize us will not affect other immigrants with a Trump Admn.
