I am fully with Lindsay Graham here. The point is that Congress is being pressured. He said himself Congress does shit ONLY WHEN PRESSURED. Coming from Lindsay Graham this should NOT worry us at all. He is a leading advocate to get something done legally!

Graham is on our side. He supports us. But he is a Republican at the same time. Don't bash him. We need him!

I still think there's a very good chance something will get done this year. They will do it literally like at the eleventh hour on the day before calamity. I think the biggest obstacle from the WH/Republican side is Stephen Miller in the White House mostly.

Why does he have to cave on wall request? He never campaigned for anything else. Full wall funding in exchange for legalization of Dreamers is a fair deal. He had agreed to that until fuckers Miller and Cotton derailed everything.

He doesn't. All I am saying is that if he doesn't, the dems are not going to give it to him during midterm season. The opportunity came and went for that. If any wall-Dreamer relief deal happens, it'll be way after midterms. And I don't think the dems will cave in, giving him wall money even if DACA is legally rescinded this year.

All IMO, of course.

Because they need to keep their base energized and campaign against Trump to keep and win seats in Congress. Campaigning on a cooperative effort with Republicans resulting in dreamer relief will not energize the left and left learners as much as campaigning on the fact that they did not cave and give him his stupid ass wall.

In short, from many Dem's perspective:
Not giving him the wall victory > Helping cooperatively with Republicans to bring dreamer relief
