I think that means that's how long they'll hold those 55k visas a year. Once 20 years pass, they'll assume we've all received a visa and adjusted, thus they will eliminate the need for the yearly 55k visas.

From what I'm thinking.

Is it going to be a battle royale to see who gets a spot among the 55k every year?

Disappointed that it doesn't cover children of E1, E2, H1B and other visas that are no longer legal. I'm not sure how Democratics will take it.

So basically we will have to wait for a visa to be available to us?

Yes and no. As I understand, in concept A, we get a contingent nonimmigrant status while waiting for a visa.

I like the first-in-line change (#6) for legal immigration. per country cap has been a poison.

That's what I'm understanding. If within the 5 years with a nonimmigrant visa you do not get one of the 55k visas, you are able to renew again for a 5 year nonimmigrant visa?

275k GC will be issued the first year and who gets it will be according to the point system they will set up (your degrees, salary, criminal history). Anyone who does not get a GC the first year will be in line as more GC become available at a rate of 55k GC per year. However, this does not apply just to DACA population, it applies to others as well, so it might be a while

Kinda like a battle royale. May the odds be in your favor.
