This story is crazy enough for anything to happen.

I don't think it's blackmail in that sense. I assume that the GOP is afraid of any investigation into the NRA and Russia, as the NRA is their cash cow. No funds, no re-elections.
See, the Russians have the NRA by the balls thru blackmail of some sort, and thus on the GOP.

Also, pay attention to the inner Trump circle. Not just Trumpo himself.

Yeah, there’s been more of an uptick and focus in the news to it since the sentencing memos because Mueller had to give concrete evidence for his justifications. But yes, I know Mueller has been conducting his investigation for much longer. The weeks was reference to it being more in the spotlight (than recently).

Trumps time will come but I don’t think it will happen during his presidency. Once he’s out of the White House he’s dead meat though.
