To your point vft1008, about how it is an election year and now the "talks" begin... I just never expected Biden to flip in that direction.... |
Re: Immigration "throw under the bus deal" in the works
I wouldn't give a cent to grifter immigrant 'rights' orgs which only take donations for political posturing.
It's unrealistic, inhumane and ridiculous that a legalization program for those who have lived in the country the longest is not part of this budget. The country needs workers, teachers, health care providers. Immigrants in the country need stability. ALL(citizen and immigrant) need safety. |

Dems in the Senate will vote on the bill so that they can run on it and blame House Republicans. The GOP will say that Biden can use executive action and doesn't need the bill.. All the while, immigrants will be left in the wind. |

Any sort of "Border deal" or "Immigration reform" that does not include immediate legalization of all dreamers AT LEAST and/or legalization of other undocumented who have been here for ages with clean records.....is embarassing...Can't believe they're not pushing for this the Democrats...

Re: Immigration "throw under the bus deal" in the works
The way to do it should be a compromise issue a "Work Permit + travel Permit" to Daca Holders+Parents of Daca holders/citizens/ people here 20+ years. Use the money collected from fees and tax revenue to pay for the benefits and assistance given to asylum seekers crossing the border, also reform the asylum process, reform border security, and have permanent renewal of registry date
