Well, your rear-end better be praying for SOMEONE,ANYONE to get something done because Obama [mod edit] if he gets re-elected but is faced with the congressional status quo. He does not have a pair on immigration and will not push for anything if the status quo remains.

ANother political ploy, Unless we Start a campaign to Let Democrats know A Non-immigrant VISA is better than nothing. We can always become citizens later by getting married or through a job.

A VISA is better than nothing, Let's email Reid and Obama to Pass this Bill.

They don't care about POSSIBLE pragmatic solutions or alternatives. They care about defeating their opponents.

If Reid is an asshole, I really don't know how to label these Republican clowns. Look there is nothing wrong with being optimistic about this new Rubio "Compromise" but at the same time lets be realistic as well. Just saying because I don't want you and others to come down falling on the earth when the bill indeed doesn't pass as many are predicting. It's an election year. Don't forget that the bill that Reid and Durbin pushed in 2010 fell by ONLY 5 votes. Forget those Democrats who didn't vote for it. Let's focus on a few Republicans who didn't.

McCain - Pushed CIR with the late Senator Ted Kennedy (God bless his soul)
Hatch - Original sponsor of the damn bill
Hutchinson - Helping Rubio with current bill
Kyl - Helping Rubio with current bill
Snowe

Now can someone please tell me why these people voted against the bill when there is every indication that they supported it in the past? Let's not get carried away by abusing Reid and Co. here. Lets wait for them to act first. I'm sure they know our sentiments and will be willing to compromise. The scenario is very clear. If Democrats help Republicans pass this bill, it is the DEMOCRATS who will benefit MORE in the elections and Obama will completely secure the hispanic vote, not the Republicans. These Senators listed above will have NO choice but to vote YAY on the bill!! This is Dream Act on the brink I reckon! Brink of a major milestone.

???????????????????? who's saying this?

Vote republicans only when when Dream Act is passed, complete and we have the voting rights. Not before.

Both sides have been assholes. I understand, and it is fair what you are saying. But, Reid is coming off as an asshole with his rhetoric.

Oh no! the last thing we needed was for the effin Tequila Party to open their mouths. I hate them, who the hell came up with the idea of an organization called the Tequila party. It is so pathetic... You guys do not know how disgusted I feel when I hear about them. These people must be out of their minds. This is why no one takes us seriously. The bad thing is that when they talk, they actually get attention and make us look like retards!!!

Seriously my least liked "Latino support group" is the National Council of La Raza, I remember them talking about the Dream Act after it failed to pass the Senate back in 2010. No word from them so far on their thoughts about Rubio's Dream Act.

Don't worry, they already talked. They oppose this one hundred percent and are already launching the attack dogs. Durbin and Reid also still are attacking this bill according to DC insiders. This bill won't pass.

Even Durbin? Where is the link that demonstrates this?

FUCK!

Re: Rubio's immigration push a potential lift for GOP

Democrats dismiss the Rubio proposal as inadequate and unlikely to satisfy conservative voices in the GOP or the bulk of Hispanics. Without Democratic support, the bill would have little chance in the Senate.

Republicans "can see what's happening. They are angering and estranging a large group of Americans," said Sen. Dick Durbin (D., Ill.), the lead sponsor of the Dream Act. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid had an op-ed in the Miami Herald Sunday dismissing efforts like Mr. Rubio's as papering over the GOP's "lurch to the right with opportunistic half-measures that don't solve the crisis."

Clarissa Martinez, an official of the National Council of La Raza advocacy group, said the Rubio approach would create a "generation of nationless children."

When even Durbin joins in the name calling you know no democrat is voting for this. Like I continue to maintain this bill is a purposeful GOP tactic that everybody is falling for, this bill like everybody in DC knows has no chance.

At the present moment this bill just doesn't seem feasible.

I saw an Obama campaign video where they where talking about how he has helped so many Latinos in schools with money and grants. And how he CARES about education. Made me mad. If he really cared he would already passed DA. AND THEN this campaign Latino spokes women was saying that they did everything possible to pass DA. SERIOUSLY ? they could of passed it if they would of try harder

Create nationless children? How? WTF?!!!!! Rubio has clearly said that his bill would not do that. Moreover, there is no text saying that we would be barred from citizenship because a damn bill is not even out yet!

I insist that Durbin and Reid will be fucking us over IF THE BILL IS PRESENTED AND IS FAIR and they vote against it.

The political game is getting serious and is becoming disgustingly obvious. This bill has both parties cornered. Should be an interesting fight. Enjoy the true colors folks.

If anyone (and I mean anyone) from both sides votes against a reasonable alternative, FUCK THEM. FUCK THEM TO HELL. We are GOING THROUGH SO MUCH SHIT TO BE USED AS A POLTICAL FOOTBALL.

Excuse for my language, but I think it is fucking merited. We need fair relief now! And, it does not have to be provided through the original DREAM Act.

I'm not showing you any disrespect at all or to people who want this bill to pass. I even said that I support this bill wholeheartedly. I think there is a slight misunderstanding between us and if it came as wrong, I will apologize since I am not looking to pick fights at all. My purpose is to really push the individuals here to clearly think before throwing support and make up their own rational opinions based on what they hear, see, and feel. And yes, optimistic views are always better than being negative, but I'm going by history here in which the 2010-11 Dream Act did not pass even with majority of two Houses. I just cannot buy into the hype right now but I will support anything that can bring relief to majority of Dreamers.

Again, not my intention at all. We can't afford to fight and bicker on this site over the merits of any legislation.

Pardon my misunderstanding, I agree with you there man for sure.

I know there's so much hype.....I guess lets just see what happens the next couple of weeks.

Again I apologize for the misunderstanding
