I am definitely excited. Older DREAMers are finally going to be helped. And a lot of other families are going to get relief. I've been getting calls all day from family friends and family members who may benefit but are unsure because the requirements haven't been explicitly laid out. My mother, on the other hand, is cautiously optimistic, although based on what we are hearing she will qualify. She only has two traffic offenses for driving without a license. So, as long as nothing like that disqualifies you, she should be alright. |
Re: At Long Last, Immigration Action
To all of you calling the President names and insulting him shame on you. Did you forget that its because of him that you at least have an EAD? Did you forget that already? Do you remember how life was before he deferred your deportation? I certainly remember how mine was and cannot imagine how difficult it would be to go back to that situation. Have some fucking respect will you. Imagine if Mitt Romney had won the election, what would you be saying then?

It's really sad how my parents felt genuine relief and happiness when my bro and I got DACA, even if they were still undoc. |

Re: At Long Last, Immigration Action
I hope my parents can be helped. I'm leaning towards yes considering my father has had a record with immigration on trying to adjust but no deportation order.
My mother has not had contact with immigration and my brother is U.S. born, but already 24 years old. That's how long they've been here without leaving. |

In my opinion doing a half assed job of what you were promising for years isn't really grounds to be praised, it instead begs the question of "where's the rest?". |

What happened to your parents? Where are they?
