Congratulations! I'm waiting on mine, I was issued an RFE on Monday, received the letter yesterday, and today I sent what they were asking for, so they'll be receiving my response on Monday the 15th, hopefully it doesn't take long after that to get an answer..

Re: Official DACA Process Time Thread Part 2 (new applicants)

Hey folks, a question of concern from me. I submitted my brother's first DACA on April, but we got it sent back for some reason. We resent it with the proper information, and it was accepted on 5/10. I got a text notification confirming the acceptance. However, we haven't received any confirmation letters in the mail, and it's been a month without any news, which seems a little odd.

Has anyone experienced this? If not, does anyone know who I should contact?

Re: Official DACA Process Time Thread Part 2 (new applicants)

Imma "humble brag" I got mine in in under 20 days. :)

Date Application Sent - Aug 17
The Lockbox the application was sent to - Chicago
Mailing Method (Express, priority, certified) etc. - FEDEX overnight
Date delivered - Aug 19 ( I sent it really late on the 17)
Date acceptance letter of application received - Aug 29
Date of I-797 C Notice of Action (Application Approved) - Received after the fact on Sep 12
Date Biometrics scheduled - Scheduled for September 20 (Walked in Aug 30)
Date of EAD received -Sep 8

It was INSANELY fast I freaked out because I was reading the forum that people were waiting over 90 days and I was so afraid of expiring and being unemployed, BAM lost 3 months of my EAD :( ugh every time I renew I lose time overlap. Honestly the thing is less than 2 years.

I am glad I have it and I am set until 2018. :) I just can't believe how insanely fast I got it.

Re: Official DACA Process Time Thread Part 2 (new applicants)

My renewal timeline was UNDER A MONTH. I feel extremely lucky.
  • My EAD was to expire this December.
  • Filed within the 150-120 days.
  • I filled and priority mailed my application with cover letter, usual copies, and signed documents.
  • My receipt number started with IOE instead of the usual MSC.
  • I live in the east coast and my application was processed through Nebraska

PM me if you have any questions.

Re: Official DACA Process Time Thread Part 2 (new applicants)

How long does it take for them to process things to send out them accepting it? they recieved it a week and a half ago but still nothing. Money order not cleared, and zipcode on delivery is different! It's same city which is Dallas. Usually they accept application really fast. This is a renewal. I have till Oct 5 to submit it. I wonder if USPS messed up. Or is it normal for them to take this long to start working on in and send out the acceptance letters?
