So is this official?

We can work in Fed jobs?

Re: Aguilar passes critical amendment to allow Dreamers access to federal employment

It's not official. Any anti immigrant representative can offer an amendment when the full house votes on it and strip it. Most of you guys should get familiar with the legislative process.

Re: Aguilar passes critical amendment to allow Dreamers access to federal employment

It has to pass the full House and Senate, still. This amendment passed the committee.

Re: Aguilar passes critical amendment to allow Dreamers access to federal employment

I understand that but passing the committee is something substantial, right?

Re: Aguilar passes critical amendment to allow Dreamers access to federal employment

yes sir, it is very nice this amendment passed.. very symbolic that a majority in congress supports us and only a hick minority wants us gone.

Is it significant because it survived a mostly republican committee? Don't most bills go through committees only to be killed in the house/senate ? For example, the various dream act bills

2 anti-immigrant organizations NumbersUSA and FAIR immediately denounced this amendment.
These heartless assholes just can't stop destroying us , they said " GOP committee approved bill to allow " illegals" to take federal jobs from Americans. Using their tax money to pay the salary of illegals.

These people are used to blame their own failure on the immigrant . Pathetic !

Narendra Modi just visited Trump. I bet you they cut a deal with regards to H1B. That man is a shrewed muddafucka. Trump is pulling a fast one with his "Buy American, Hire American" slogans. What a guy. A true business man that man. He is in constant contact with Google, Microsoft, FB etc CEOs. They need H1B to keep going. Tech has been skyrocketing at the markets. Trump knows all this. But he continues to pretend like he is "getting rid of immigrants" because he needs those idiot voters to keep him propped up.

It has to go through the full House and then through Senate Arms Services Comm. And full Senate. Then Conference Committee. You can be assured that it will be stripped from the final bill eventually.

I made this argument here before. We do literally take jobs from other USC or permanent people. Let's take my dad for example, he is the one that said this to me about how we take jobs from other people. He is an electrician and if he wasn't doing one of his jobs a USC maybe doing it. So theoretically by him doing the electrical job he took it away from a USC or green card person.

Think about it logically.

Now, what do you say to someone who says that? It's economics 101 survival of the fittest, if you can do that job better than other people or you have good people skills it drives a demand for better work to be done. That's why my dad keeps getting jobs and also he charges cheap because he is illegal. Once again if he wanst here, somebody else would be doing his job, therefore he did steal someone's job.

Another example, if I leave some my job, a USC would most likely take my job. So therefore I am stealing a job. But you tell them fuck that i got this job because I'm good and it drives a good economy because it demands for better work to be done.

Overall it is called competition, but to say we don't steal jobs is just ignorant. Look at it logically

BeeHive 07-15-2017 09:07 AM

Re: Aguilar passes critical amendment to allow Dreamers access to federal employment

Another way to think about it, memory allocation. If you have space 0x02 and I take it, I took it away from a USC or permanent resident because I'm better than them and faster. But if I wasn't part of that system I would of never taken that memory address but rather the USC.

Once again I'm not saying this is bad I'm.just proving all of you wrong.

This is actually good for the economy.

Listen to some NPR and learn how immigrants on competition is good for the economy.

That's a good one.

Usually people who say "they stealing our jobs" are people who are too stupid to keep a job or don't have good work ethics.

So they take out their anger on us.

$495.00 x 750,000 = $371,250,000
$371,250,000 x 5 years = $1,856,250000 ( this is how much they made off us from DACA ppl. )

Yes it not always 495 but total DACA people is not exactly 750,000 ,may be it's little more than that. But this just approximately .

a.martin3z 07-15-2017 01:56 PM

Re: Aguilar passes critical amendment to allow Dreamers access to federal employment

Your estimate is implying they get $495 from us every year also. They get $495 from us every other year. Also, not all 700,000 DACA have been on DACA since day one. We'be been steadily growing towards that number over time. Still, I get what you're saying. They can make a lot of revenue off the fees.

Re: Aguilar passes critical amendment to allow Dreamers access to federal employment

yeah i get your point bro... but its all about perspective though..

from immigrants' pov its not stealing, its just because they are willing to work harder for it e.g in silicon valley or picking fruit etc. trust me these USC wouldnt last a day picking fruit like how immigrants do everyday for far less wages.

but for those usc hick conservatives (which are a minority that hates immigrants) their perspective is we are "stealing" and they are the minority.

in my opinion you are not stealing any job, its because you are well qualified and your good at what you do.

at the end of the day, its perspective and empathy... u have to look at it from both sides

you have to look at them as USC and they may be struggling to put food on the table etc but you also have to look at it from the immigrant's side as well that they left their countries to also try to provide food on the table for way less wages.

its all perspective, im not gonna say im right or your wrong because both sides have great points and cons.

we need to take the middle of the road on the immigration issue, actually on all issues. the problem with this country right now is that everyone is moving either far left or far right. and moderation on issues is the key to solving the problems we are facing.

This doesnt make sense at all.

$495.00 x 750,000 = $371,250,000

this is correct, the actual fee was $465 but lets use 495 for simplicity

Second part..... hmmm doesnt make sense at all this is assuming our permits were just for one year

why waste time with this when we can check USCIS own data

https://www.uscis.gov/tools/reports-...dhood-arrivals

Total Initial Applications Received: 936,394 so thats 936,394 checks they got
Total Renewals so far: 952,917 this is 952,917renewal checks they got

936,394+ 952,917= 1,889,311 Total times they gotten their check of $495

so then

1,889,311 x 495 = $935,208,945 estimate they have made from us sending our initials and renewals

So almost 1 billion? Wow. They ought to be dumb if they cancel it for bs political reasons. Not including taxes they take off our checks. They took $15,000 in taxes out my check last year. This year they will take more. Oh not including having to pay them even more after doing my taxes.

Same! I pay so much in taxes, not to mention all the money we're spending in our cities/states and sales taxes we're paying on top!

Also.. not directly given to the government but all those packets shipped? I sent overnight 3 times already. Also, many of us have used attorneys to fill the paperwork. I used an attorney the firs time. So, yes, we've contributed a lot to the economy indirectly.

Wow you're right I didn't even consider the cost of shipping it to them. The cost of money orders. And yes lawyer fees. And those lawyers paid taxes on the money we paid them.
