The compromise bill literally has everything he is asking for! What else does he want?

Lol. How are the democrats forcing the breakup of families again? This shit ain’t passing the Senate anyway. I guess our best bet is September when the next budget bill is due.

Someone should get Kanye West to tweet that everything he asked for is already in the bill. He seems to listen to him

Now is not a good time for us for a bill because Trump still holds all the cards. If he were smart, he would realize that his window is closing faster and faster with the election coming up and he'd compromise to get a lot of what he wants, but we all know he's not.

We might have a chance next year at getting a decent bill but realistically, it won't be till 2021

Trump has no clue what is in the bill lol. He probably got a call form Steve King and then went to go rage on F&F as it is his go to move.

nothing will happen in 2021 as well. there is no guarantee if he looses the reelection. Muller found people in trouble around him but not himself. even if he looses reelection Democrats wont get 60 senate seats in 2020. people like you who wants to derail this effort doesn't want to get others relief if you are disqualified.
really focus should be how we can get amendments added to compromise bill for more of us getting relief and removing conditions like final deportation order etc. everything else is just talking about nonsense. no clean dream act will pass, no democrat super majority is coming even in next 10 years. even if they get one they will not let dreamers occupies the whole stage.

Nah, what they really meant was that President Miller put Trump in his place when he got home. Gave him a lashing and a time out. He also didn’t let him have a cookie with his McDouble.

Lol, might as well "focus" on getting the age restriction removed. Let me guess, you have a final deportation order. That's why that is what u want to "focus" on.

That's why Goodlatte, et al were convinced he would walk his comments back. They had reassurance from the WH last night that he would sign this.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they pass this shit next week and McTurtle schedules a vote in the Senate. It's like the tax bill all over again.

I don’t think it’s going to pass as is and I remember Ryan saying something about getting this bill passed without amendments... so this might be DOA.

I told in earlier posts we should try to get as much relief as possible for all of us including aged out. I have no final deportation order. my point is that instead of shooting down this bill lets work on getting amendments to remove unnecessary conditions and increase the size of dreamers population that could be covered in this bill including aged out dreamers.

we need to call our lawmakers to support the bill and add the amendments for more dreamers to be qualified under this bill.
also if republicans add it to the budget deal it will be passed easily.

There are 10 Democratic Senators that are running for re-election this year, all in states Trump won singlehandedly. If anything passes in the House and Trump calls on Republicans Senators to stick together and do “the right thing” then I’m sure the votes will be there. Let’s not forget that our biggest hurdle was always going to be Trump and the House, and so far we have both.

Does anyone know the math on the vulnerable Dems? I saw another user say they would have enough votes if they voted with them.

There are 10 red state Dems in the senate (defining this as Democratic senators from states carried by Trump in the general election.). Of those 10, I think 3 (Manchin-WV, Heitkamp-ND, Tester-MT) will definitely have pressure from a Republican candidate during midterms. At most 5 will be in heavily contested races. That’s why I would disagree with the overall likeliness of getting cloture. However, if you’re assume they have all the red state Dems, then sure. But you could say that for the HoR and any other Rep caucus.

51 Republicans + these 9 = 60 = bill passes

And that fat asshole that won in Alabama.. Doug Jones? I think he’ll vote with republicans on this.

He’s not up for re-election this year, but yeah I don’t know how strong he’ll hold the line. Just because he’s from a red state doesn’t mean he votes with GOP every time.
