I just got a message that says my EAD is approved today, original expiration date is 02/24/2019, and I filed for renewal in 06/26/2018.

I got my 2 year renewal EAD card in the mail today. It looks a little different, and more red'ish colors.

I'm kind of disappointed because i listened to some people on these forums saying to apply ASAP, and i did it exactly at the 150 day mark,

but i got approved too early, and my prior EAD was suppose to be set to expire on Jan 31, 2019

but the new EAD is from Sept 29, 2019 to September 29 of 2021.

So technically, while I'm grateful and happy about it, I'm still a little bit upset because i essentially did lose 4 months extra

Or you can look at this way..if they were to cancel DACA tomorrow, you would be one of the lucky ones to have been able to renew again.

Think this way. You lost 4 months. 500$/24 months=20.8$ per month x 4 =83$ and 20 cents. Its like 1 day of work. But at least now you have piece of mind for another 2 years.

Do you mean from Sept 29,2018 to Sept 29 ,2020 ? It is not 2019 yet
