Sent my App in 8/21. Sent RFE on 10/15. I've been waiting almost two months since then. Did service request last week.

anyone from California service center sent their RFE and still waiting? i sent my RFE on 11/19 applied on 08/23 i did service request today 12/05 i hope i get approved soon

I seen people get accepted as fast as 2 days ad as late as 58 days.. I'd expect a response 1-2 weeks though

Noo of course not lol USCIS has nothing to do with SSA you get your EAD in the mail then you go into your local Social Security office, show them your EAD and your passport then fill out the SS form (I forgot what what the forum number is) and then they will mail you your SSN card (I believe the times on the SSN card are 1-4 weeks depending on what state you live in)

Then after you have your SSN in hand you could work/apply for your DL

Does Anybody know when uscis ask for RFE... U get an email or Txt asking for it? besides the letter..... Ive been waiting too... just curious to know that. i have my account on uscis... put my email and # but have not recieved anything yet.

once they ask for an RFE usually it will say on your case status online.. if both receipts are still on the initial review that means they are still going through your case.

Okay guys so here's my dealio, I got an RFE on my status change on Sunday, and it said they mailed out the latter on monday. I just got the letter. I included a bunch of stuff in my original evidence, passport copy, school id, transcripts, birth cert. translated, all that good stuff you know. I wake up like 5 mins ago, go check my mail, and get the letter. Okay, I wonder what could they possibly want. I open it and it says IDENTITY. Please mail a passport or a school ID or any other sort of ID with a picture on it. Are you fucking kidding me?! I gave my fucking lawyer 2 IDs that he sent, so either I'm dickslapping my lawyer when I see his for being a complete retard and not including all the documents, or Texas Service Center is as dumb as a bag of rocks. I called my lawyer he didn't answer. What should I do you guys?

Just got a RFE. Got the text message first saying my status changed...hoping it was approved but they said it was sent today. Hopefully I get the notice so I can send that stuff back so I get a speedy response! Gahh trying not to freak out. Hopes it's something easy!

Immigration lawyers have to be one of the stupidest lawyers out there.. I swear every lawyer who almost flunked out of law school becomes an immigration lawyer everyone I've ever encountered or heard about, sucks and fucks something up.

Omg that's why I so glad I mailed the stuff out myself instead of the woman that helped me fill it out. I had to go back to her office 3 times to make sure I mailed everything. She also didn't sign one of the app!! Be careful people and only trust yourself!

Yea seriously, save your money... Do it yourself there is no point to hire an attorney unless you have a criminal record - other than that.. File everything yourself.. If you have a lawyer do it you're providing him with all the info and giving him all the evidence.. He will literally be doing nothing.. SAVE YOUR MONEY PEOPLE!!

Yup :) went into production on the 4th, got a text 6:30AM this morning saying my status has been updated and it was shipped, so 2 days after productions they shipped it lol I hope I get it Saturday :D

Was your 821D approved the same day as your card went into production btw? Cause my EAD went into production on the 4th and 821D mailed on the 5th

Yes on Decemer 5th at 4:15 both applications were approved then at 7:15 my EAD card went into production.
I guess they'll be shipping it tomorrow, hopefully.

Yeah, it was mailed to me today got a text at 6:15am, i should be getting it wednesday/thursday next week, im gonna try and get the tracking number,

Funny cause I got the shipment text at 6:30AM and got the tracking number last night (52 minute wait time on the phone) says it'll be here tomorrow so I'm excited monday I'll go apply for my SSN
