Hey question for you and anyone that can answer! How do I prepare my RFE package? I don't know how to get it together. I processed it with a lawyer that was a liar and I just don't want anything to do with him again. Please help! =)

Thanks

well i did it with a lawyer and his great but the way he did it is you have to send them a copy of the letter you received and make a cover letter however do not make it complicated very simple one explaining what kind of document you are submitting.....If you got RFE for multiple year than do one for each year at least that's what i did good luck!! and make sure you make a photo copy of everything you send i mean everything

ps i'm still waiting to get approver with my rfe which service center did you get your rfe from?

No need for a cover letter, in my RFE I was asked to provide proof of residency for 2007, 2008 and 2009 all I sent them was the RFE letter they sent me and under it was my HS transcript and a letter from the records office at my HS vouching I've been there for 4 years, you don't need to explain anything in a piece of paper unless its more of a complicated request.. I think it's best to make responses as simple and straight forward as possible, you gotta remember these agents are going through dozens of applications a day so reading your letter of explanation might annoy them, be sure to organize everything in order so you make it as easy as possible on them

Well they're basically asking for proof of residency for every year ( which I gave to my lawyer and for some reason he didn't send) And proof of identity. I am planning to send my H.S transcript and all of my bank statements since 2009 in detailed. Im also sending a copy of college Id and passport. Wish me luck! I hope I don't do something wrong again.

Yea immigration lawyers are arguably the biggest idiots in the world.. They always do something wrong.. Should of saved your money and did everything yourself. Best of luck to you.

Hey if anyone can answer my question, my RFE was approved on Thursday 12/6/12 both I821D & I765 and my EAD is still on Post Deciscion Activity i thought card production started right away, should i be worried? I read on another forum that some peoples EAD gets stuck on PDA and card never gets mailed out untill they call USCIS after the 30 day waiting period.

can't really do anything, i know it sucks but calling them wont get you anywhere, even with an e request, all you can do is wait. Either way it takes about 2 days for them to have the card made, then one more to ship it out, so if you were approved on the 6th, i would expect them to have it shipped by month or Tuesday.

Okay yeah I'm just gonna wait it just sucks because I did my biometrics in September then got rfe so hopefully I won't be on Post deciscion activity for long :)

On November 20, 2012, we received your response to our request for evidence. This case is being processed at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location
Christmas 2013/14 GO GO.

The world ends in like 11 days, and still no DACA. lol.

My EAD card finally got produced/mailed out today(received no text update), I was approved on Thursday! :) The wait is hard especially for us with RFE's but have faith they can't deny us.

Yea ive been logging on here just to see what his RFE is about.
Looking at his timeline... His case might've raised an eyebrow and they wanted more evidence on his departure.

But i hope everything is good with him.

Yea some Dreamers might have a similar case and are wondering as well.
So his case can benefit some.

You have to go back and look at his signature. He entered at 15 years 9 months on a J visa. Then re-entered at age 18 on an F visa.

Got a call from the lawyer and was told the rfe was cuz they didn't have enough evidence for school. Have to wait till next week to take my last GED test and see what happens... Hopefully the online transcript is enough and I don't have to wait for the actual physical piece of paper.

Re: *****RFE Thread <- (Request for Evidence)****

I got a RFE and need to show 5 years of continuous stay.
I have my High School Official Transcript (4 Years)
I can also send my UIC College transcript that I can see online and it list the terms but it says *not official* on it. Do you think that will be an issue?

I also have my middle school Diploma (may 2007) and High School Diploma (may 2011) and College acceptance letter.

any other ideas?
i can order a transcript from uic but it will take 4-5 days and I will have to send next week and im trying to get approved before the holidays.

They are asking for the full 5 years?

Did you not send anything to cover that initially?

I don't think the fact is unofficial is an issue but I think you should just take your time and get your packet together properly. You don't want to get a second RFE. It is unlikely that you will get approved before X-mas. They are taking a little longer on some cases.
I recommend you send it with an index.
2007-Middle school diploma
2007-2011 High School transcripts
2011-High School Diploma
2011-College Acceptance letter
2012-Present College transcripts

Unofficial will not be a problem, I sent them my college transcript which was marked unofficial, and they took it. It's like when you get a HS transcript you get one "official" and one not official once you open the "official one" it's no longer official so it doesn't matter, good luck, should be really easy for you to prove residency if you graduated in 2011
