You provided a copy of a school certification dated april 8th 2013, that showed you completed a cosmetology course of study November 4th 2012. this does not show that you were current enrolled in school at the time of filing your request on april 18

Follow-up/Comment: I went to the worst cosmetology school last year, run by one ghetto/ unprofessional lady long story short, after completing my 1000 hrs. she held back my tests and wanted to keep me there longer, I ended up calling the state board on her. 5 months later she decided to sign off on the documents to take the state board. unfortunately, I cannot take the statebord without a SSN . I asked her for a certificate of completion she said NO. when i filled, i was not currently enrolled in school.. I've been done with school.. I did not finish high school.. i would like to get my GED but i have been out of school for so long, i dont think i can take the test before the dead line (oct). i don't know what to do. i do have 12 receipts from the school, can i use those?

I don't think cosmetology school counts, you have to have a high school diploma (graduated) or show proof that you are currently ENROLLED in high school or a GED program. I believe you don't necessarily have to be done as long as your enrolled to show you are planning to complete your GED.

Can you please help? How can I do that. I sent my online HS diploma from thelincolnacademy.com to USCIS. But when I went to local college here they did not accept my online diploma so, they told me to a GED so I already did GED and passed all the test I got my GED certificate but USCIS does not know I did GED too. Is there anything I can do?

one of the requirements is to have a hs diploma or ged or be enrolled in one of those , those are 1 of the requirements

Got an RFE last week after over a year waiting & idk just not feeling hopeful about it.. I travelled back to the Bahamas in July of 2007 for 11 days to visit family, I was 15 at the time and on my way back the immigration officer told me I was traveling with the wrong visa and being that I was going to school living in the US I have to get a student visa .. I went to apply for a student visa and got denied.. Long story short I ended up staying in the Bahamas for 11 months until returning EWI .. They were the worst months of my like & USCIS know about all of this but still sent and RFE requesting evidence from July 2007 - July 2008 ... I came back in June of 2008 after trying everything possible to come back the right way .. So Idk what to do I've been living here since 3rd grade :( I have evidence of everything to prove that I tried everything to come back here the right way .. I have my plane tickets and everything that shows it was suppose to be a casual stay .. I was soo young & had my family known i would've just stayed here on my visitors visa instead of traveling out the country but it was something I did every year and never got stopped for... I'm a senior in college graduating in May of next year .. This is all so much I don't know how to deal with it, I'm trying to be so strong but no one around me understands ... I have evidence for everything else proving I was here except for those 11 months :'(

WOW i am so sorry hun. Try to talk to a lawyer maybe they will find you a solution. that's fucked up tho, why the hell would they wait a year to send you a RFE?
i dont know what to think, it's been almost 3 months i sent bck my RFE and i havent heard from them since.i am desperate too. Let's pray for CIR to pass so that we can all benefit from it
