So a BS degree is good for Dream Act I guess, once DA passes, the candidate just waits 6 years and becomes a US Citizen?

for dreamer, under the dream act, dreamer needs to achieve an associate degree AA/AS during the 6 years period.

What if a DREAMer already has a 4 year degree? They don't have to anything else but to wait 6 years and become a USC.

I say let them do it... if the can attach the DREAM act into a bill thats mainly going to juice up border security, it will have a chance to pass. And besides if it fails Reid should use the same strategy as he did by voted nay on the defense bill, so that he can finally bring the DA as a stand alone.

Edit: Well... now that I think about it... It would be kind of a bitch if they finally bring the DA as a stand alone after the lame duck session but the fucking repbastards have control of the senate.

I don't understand how someone can "fall out" of legal status. Can someone do that intentionally?

say like an international student, if they fail to maintain 12 units for 2 consecutive semesters. They automatically fall out of status.

For example, an international student is taking 12 units, but if he fails one 4-unit-class, then it means that he only has 8 units that semester => he'll put on probation.

If next semester, he gets into such situation again, he'll be out of status.
