You do realize, there were other races right? Obama won because of all races voted for him, not only the latino community.

So Obama is only president because of the black, latino, white, asian and other races votes. :D

Broader reform should be priority? In a sense yes it should be but there is no way in Hell CIR would pass with 200 something republicans in the house.

I get what you mean, even DA couldn't pass. It's just that a lot of these republicans keep hiding behind the argument that it needs to be part of a reform bill.

Which Dream Act will it be for 2011??? New introductions of the bill will have to be made in the new congress.

Oh, and if Democrats can change it within hours of voting on it; then what should it be called? Because the crap; student visa/guest worker/tps hybrid that was put on the floor saturday is not the DREAM Act.

Who turns 30 in the next few months and will be excluded this time? Today is only Tuesday; however, I've already read many conservative blogs advocating for a new DA version with an age cap of at most 25; ideally 21. Who's ready to be left out next? It doesn't matter what is said - this administration lost that benefit of the doubt after three years of breaking up families and deporting DREAM eligible individuals.

We're all gonna be left out. Next time (2012 at the earliest), it is going to be 25, which will exclude everyone who is 24 and up now. It will fail, and will be reintroduced again 3 years later and then its going to be 21, which will exclude everyone who is like 16 and up now. And so on and so on.

And ultimately, when a version finally passes, it will benefit like 7 people who are between ages 12 and 12 and a day. who were not even born yet when the DA was first introduced in 2001, but ironically they won't apply for it because one of the provisions will be 10 years of slave labor.

Maybe the fact that we were short by 5 Democrat votes? The party he's supposed to effing lead. If we had been edged out entirely by republicans, I would give him the benefit of the doubt. The point is, he's rhetoric regarding immigration is becoming meaningless.
