Texas sounds like our best bet, unfortunately. I was thinking about Arizona, but that would be a terrible decision.

We have to wait till the reform passes first and then we can go from there.

He was the only Rep that jumped in though. Then we had Lugar, Bennett and the Alaskan Senator.

The fight is in the House not Senate right now.

The fight today right this moment and probably the next 4 years is in the court. If you can win in court you don't have to have any political involvement. Example the route gay marriage has taken.

You do know we're talking about Lindsay Graham right? The guy who was working with Schumer on a CIR bill based on the Kennedy-McCain bill but then when healthcare reform passed Graham went all bitchy and decided to ditch Schumer and staunchly oppose CIR and the DREAM Act? The only members of the GOP that jumped onboard were Bennet, Murkowski, and Lugar-Graham complained about us mobilizing by flooding senate switchboards and by staging hunger strikes and marches. Graham and McCain were two moderate senators we could have solidly counted on before the 2008 elections-hell I've lost track of how many times McCain defended the DREAM act in 2006-2007 and got flak from the conservatives yet stood steadfast on our side. He and Graham became grumpy old men and denounced us at every chance.

Is your undying optimism blinding you from seeing facts? You can forget about the House passing anything other than a border security bill and some sort of immigration criminalization crap they tried to pass like the Sensenbrenner bill which criminalized our very own existence punishing anyone who helps us. So forget about anything moderate being passed there-luckily the senate isn't stupid enough to pass anything like that. So take your blind optimism and take it somewhere else.
