Obama had so much shit to deal with after Bush's 8 years of trash that he hasn't had enough time to do what he wants to do. Add an incompetent congress that wont help him and you'll see why things seem to be moving slow. Some of you are are biting the hand that feeds you with comments like "Obama is a liar, and a coward."

One month ago you sure as hell weren't saying that of Obama when Romney said that he would veto the Dream Act and support self-deportation of all undocumented students. All of a sudden you and him have a sudden change of heart? You used to say that at least Obama wouldn't veto the Dream Act if elected president.

Face the fact and accept that both parties are playing politics with the Dream Act. Don't be so quick to fall for this chicanery from the Republicans.

But if I was Obama I would have sleepless nights until election day!! Here he has an opponent who is a FILTHY RICH MILLIONAIRE WHITE GUY and a potential HISPANIC running mate rolling out a super star Dream Act bill that EVERY immigrant supports. If Obama shys away, he risks losing votes. If it passes, he risks losing votes. What does he do now to make everyone happy?

People tend to have the wrong idea that a President can do anything he wants with the stroke of a pen.

This isn't true.

Many immigrants are frustrated that the Obama Administration hasn't tackled CIR.

Do remember that before Obama took office, the country was in the deepest throws of the Great Recession. I am absolutely certain that the measures his administration took played a critical role in preventing a global economic crisis.

Do note that his administration, while deporting millions, also is responsible for things such as the Morton memo. More importantly, he has on numerous occassions throughout his presidency kept the DREAM Act discussion alive by repeatedly reiterating his support for it. He has never wavered from his position on this issue. NEVER.

Romney is categorically against the DREAM Act. His solution to illegal immigration hinges upon self-deportation. That is a fact.

dreamact1982, perhaps you are upset that you left the U.S. for Europe. I would recommend you look at the bright side of things and forget the terrible life you experienced as an undocumented student. You are in the enviable position of starting a new, more fulfilling life in the next best (or arguably the best) place on earth.

Don't live in regret.

Glad to see the voice of reason that seeks to see the bigger side of things that goes beyond the Dream Act and its beneficiaries. This is why I generally favor Obama since the positives (so far) outweigh the negatives.

Whatever happens guys, this is the last possible solution in a while that has a slim chance of getting passed. Just be prepared whether it passes or fails. I know I'm ready.

Given that Boehner declared that Rubio's idea was of interest to him (of all people, Boehner), I don't know about slim chances. I think there is a good chance that it would pass the house.

I think everyone, even Obama, will become involved once the bill is presented. Watch, pray, and laugh.

I' am not upset at all that i left for Europe.. Because while i left for Europe, i was and still able to come to the US. What am upset is the injustice that Dreamers still face, im tired of Dreamers being jerked around (Yes i know alot of you say, why do u care?!?) I have good life, and im sorry for still caring.

I will say this.. I miss US, visiting is not the same. I hope all of you get good closure

And 4 years ago, Obama sure as hell wasn't saying that he would kick all of us out to the curve.

Why are you defending Obama all the way he didn't do anything for us..
