Allowing Trump to claim that he's able to "build the wall" for a meaningless 3 years extension? Most people will have ~2020 expiration.

Democrats better reject this.

Please don't leave anyone behind!

This is the opening we need for the Dream Act. The Democrats need to save as many as possible. All childhood arrivals need a chance, including those unfairly excluded from Daca.

I was excited about Lamb until I read that he is right of center, would not answer his positions on immigration or guns.

At this point might as well just wait past the midterms so that we can negotiate a permanent solution. We already have 2 years anyways.

Trump can eat a dick if he thinks he can get border funding for temporary status.

That's why he won. It was a 20+ Trump district, 97% white. You think he would have a chance if he claimed to be pro illegal immigration? He was the right candidate for the right district.

Democrats have to include us in any deal now that it looks like they might have some leverage.

Still, it's easier to get the Dream Act across if you have both houses even if they are staffed with centrists, especially if DA rides on some random piece of legislation and anyone in a redder district can claim that they didn't notice the provision and are disappointed in Pelosi.

Remember, the chamber leader controls the legislative agenda. It's easier to put a "Budget bill of 2019" in front of Trump with a democratic shopping list than it is to amend stuff in while in the minority.

He is not right of center, that is the spin that the GOP is trying to push facing this loss.

He supports unions, Obamacare, Medicare and Social Security, relief from student debts.

He supports expanded background checks on guns. He is pro-choice.

You want to tell me this is right of center?

I haven't found any instances where he rejects DACA. Makes sense he didn't talk about it since his district is 96%+ white. This does not mean he is right of center.
