Re: PowerPost Trump is open to short-term DACA deal, White House tells GOP leaders
Allowing Trump to claim that he's able to "build the wall" for a meaningless 3 years extension? Most people will have ~2020 expiration.
Democrats better reject this. |

Please don't leave anyone behind!
This is the opening we need for the Dream Act. The Democrats need to save as many as possible. All childhood arrivals need a chance, including those unfairly excluded from Daca. |

At this point might as well just wait past the midterms so that we can negotiate a permanent solution. We already have 2 years anyways.

Trump can eat a dick if he thinks he can get border funding for temporary status.

Remember, the chamber leader controls the legislative agenda. It's easier to put a "Budget bill of 2019" in front of Trump with a democratic shopping list than it is to amend stuff in while in the minority. |

He supports unions, Obamacare, Medicare and Social Security, relief from student debts. He supports expanded background checks on guns. He is pro-choice. You want to tell me this is right of center? I haven't found any instances where he rejects DACA. Makes sense he didn't talk about it since his district is 96%+ white. This does not mean he is right of center. |
