I appreciate Durbins efforts to pass the Dream Act but after it originally failed 20yrs ago I wish they would have immediately tried to push through a removal of the 3/10 yr ban for childhood arrivals. I think something small like that may have had a better chance and could have been snuck into other legislation and would have helped out great many of us.

Honestly you could sneak something like "8 USC 1259 (a) is amended by striking '1972' and inserting '2020'" into basically any bill, especially if you hide it in technical amendments to things like the Tax Code, nobody would fucking read this shit this closely. You could be even cheekier and change 19 to 20 and 72 to 20 in two different sections so it doesn't look like you're messing with a date.

Honestly at this point I think it's just a lack of will rather than lack of means.
