I am optimistic when there is a sound reason to be. Simply having "good vibes" and "good expectations" doesn't change shit. Especially when it comes to something like immigration reform.

Show me concrete indicators that justify we should have faith in congress this time around and then I'll have some optimism. In the meantime, I'll continue to be the scarred cynic I am.

10 or more Republican senators are needed. You all have faith in that?

Fear is toxic.

We are 10 Senate Republicans away from getting something. Is getting their support difficult? Yes. Has the Senate ever passed an immigration bill? Yes it has. Remember the “Gang of 8.” It’s not blind optimism in my mind. I have never led my life like a coward or fearful defeatist. The past doesn’t always predict the future. Things change, and they will.

Nobody likes negative cowards, much less being around them or listening to what they have to say. It’s annoying as fuck.

I concur, is very annoying to hear the negative bs. As of today we have the Democrats making moves, will see what happens once we get to the senate.

but to all the "not a chance of passing" please self deport, you're not worthy of the American Dream.

I should be the first person you should be buying La Cerveza .....I've been telling you exactly what is going to transpire...A phenomenal bipartisan deal on Dreamers is coming (as long as radical right and extreme left wingers/UWD stay out).

There has been significant progress being made clearly by the Biden Admin. Joey has taken this case by the horn and appears relentless making his way across the finish line. A historic stand-alone bipartisan deal for Dreamers is imminent. I'd like to dub it "The Great Dreamer Compromise of 2021" I see attaining 10+ republicans very easy as long as they go with the standalone immediate legalization of all Dreamers and use that as stepping stone for broader reform. There is a lot of Republican and Blue Dog Dem (ex. Manchin, Tester, Synema etc) support for this. However it will take deal making. The usual political pandering will not work.

At least we have people in congress fighting for us.. Congress can do absolutely nothing and their lives would be perfectly fine; instead, they are trying to pass a bill that can help us. There is no law that says they need to push for an immigration bill.

So yeah, they have my thanks and support.. even if it fails.

I would not call it easy.. like every bill its all about how much they are willing to compromise. Give and take
