Re: Official I-601A Thread
We haven’t heard from the NVC in a little over a month. I sent an email a few days ago. How quickly do they respond? Also, when do we file I-485 after the 601A?

DS-260 is one of them. Once NVC responds you'll be able to file that then they will get you an appointment date with your "home" consular office. |

Since you're going through consular proceedings, you will not be filing an I-485. Instead, once your 601a has been approved, the NVC will ask you to submit your DS-260 application (online). See below: https://travel.state.gov/content/tra...-approved.html You're currently at the "Begin National Visa Center (NVC) Processing" step of the visa process. |
Re: Official I-601A Thread
So, the NVC finally gave us a case number. Do I file the 601A simultaneously when I pay for the fees and such to the NVC?

Last updated date on my case status changed, so I guess things are getting pretty serious.

Re: Official I-601A Thread
I have a question..so to file the 601A, do I pay both the IV fee and affidavit of support fee or just the IV?

When you file that 601a, USCIS notifies NVC of waiver filing. Do it within a year and you don’t have to do anything for now with NVC. Just pay visa fees when filing waiver. |
