I do think it is still a risk even with approved I-601A waiver. This only satisfies the 3/10 year ban. They can still find you inadmissible on other grounds including being banned permanently. Then what? You are stuck there for at least 10 years before you can even apply for re-admission for consideration.

Another reason I should've gotten AP when I had the chance. *bangs head on desk*

Why isn't the NVC letting the applicants know their sponsor don't make enough? NVC should be telling the applicant, "dude, your sponsor doesn't make enough money to support alone, if it comes to it. I'm not gonna schedule an appointment for you until your sponsor submits a form showing they have funds to support you."

If the NVC is okay with the numbers on the AOS form, the embassy should not be pulling this crap.

This guy has his father-in-law as a sponsor and meets the NVC requirement. But the embassy questions his father-in-law's commitment to him and the fact that his family is already benefiting from government healthcare and food stamp really go against him.

If your family is using any government benefits, even if they are USC, you should take that into consideration before leaving the country.

Not sure if I should be scare. I have a good salary job and will be sponsoring myself since wife doesn't make any money and no kid. I think the fact that I already have a job in the U.S should make me safe right? I hope!

Hey guys, any movements on your cases? Anyone done interview yet? I'm still waiting for my I-130 to be approved and then on to the waiver.

The process is so long, only one person in this forum has gone through the whole process.

I belong to a 601a Facebook group and I've seen people saying that even if you have a job you should get a sponsor. The person who was asking if they could sponsor themselves was a DACAer too.

What’s the benefit of getting a sponsor?

More evidence that you won't be considered public charge.
