Listen, im all for doing what needs to be done but lets be realistic-the last version of the DREAM Act was supported by a handfull of Republicans in the House. Its a matter of simple numbers; the new Republican majority in the House is leaning righter than it did under the Clinton years so we can honestly forget about any CIR passing within the next two years. If we want anything to happen in regards to CIR we need to get the House back under Democratic control. While I do see the Senate being more compromising with Obama, i can say with a hundred percent certainty that the GOP-controlled House will do everything in their power to bring down Obama and his administration.
I'm not trying to be negative but we have to wake up to a very shitty reality that we wont have any form of legalization of any illegal immigrant groups within the next two years, no matter what we do or say. If anything congress could vote to bring back 245.i or a similar immigration law that would allow some of us to adjust our status without having to leave the country. For the majority of us though, our only hope is for Obama to sign some sort of executive order that allows for a hold on all deportations for dreamers so we at least have some wiggle room to work our cases.

Well, just like some members of the GOP are nagging Obama to deport us even though that will most likely not happen, I will nagg GOP members to vote for the DREAM Act even though some see it impossible to raitfy in the next congress. :- ) Might as well play along. Sorry guys. I'm a stubborn Mexican--not very good for Republicans.
