Wait a bit for details of the application process to emerge. Once it does make necessary accommodations.

Guys,

Truth shared this with me. Read it and wait for new details to emerge. Don't go to a lawyer yet:

I m starting to think DA User was just a huge troll, was just here to give people false hope. Now that this happens, he is nowhere to be found. :P

This is good news, things are moving in the right direction.

One question:
In this just a plan or has it been implemented already? how do you apply for work permit, what's the process? do you have to be detained and court has to give u or how does it work?
I feel u have to be in removal proceedings to take advantage of this, right?
if so u run the risk of deportation, b/c they will do it case by case basis. I hope im wrong.

This is affirmative deferred action! By submitting an application to USCIS (no need for a lawyer unless you have some criminal issue! Don't waste your money), the government will now be able to vet you and have a file on record with DHS. If you are or have ever been in proceedings, then DHS, ICE, USCIS or all three already have a file on record for you. And again, this is affirmative, meaning that you don't need to request permission to apply, you are simply eligible or ineligible.
