yeah its extremely hard to argue with hypocrite people - but you know what? he won't do any of this because all he can do and repeat what he reads on foreign articles and his rich legal friends say. So he comes to an pro immigration and feel he fits in. He can preach his anti illegal ideas here while at the same time pretend to be pro CIR (of course once 30 meter walls with sharks on them are made in the border) - He puts a lot of passion in his posts I give him credit for that - did you not see all those exclamation marks he was putting up? If he truly believe what he preaches, he would do all that he can do become legalized or something like self deport but he won't. Ive never seen him post outside of the news area thought. All that I know of him is by the vague details he puts in his posts now and then but isnt hard to see some inferior complex going on. his !!! just scream it

Yes, I absolutely agree with you. Selling food stamp for cheap is just one of many problems!!

Quite a few pregnant women who come to the US just to give birth do not even bother to pay medical bills. Those visitors simply apply for benefits to have the local government pay the bills.

America is being drained by anchor babies!

I wouldn't go as far as to say America is being drained by anchor babies. No. There are bigger problems, and other issues "draining" America. I do, however, think this is a very unpleasant issue.

The problem is not 'anchor babies', it's welfare fraud. The rate of food stamp fraud is very low, about 1%. This means 99% of recipients actually need it and use it as intended.

This 1% is for the entire U.S. population, not just El Paso. It is actually extremely efficient for a government-run program. It is insane to punish 99% of people for the misdeed of 1% by cutting the program, but that's Republican to you.

No, 1% fraud rate is not 'draining' America. There are far, far more less efficient government programs in place, like the military. Have you ever heard of the $640 military toilet seat?

Welfare fraud. Agreed! And of course EP is not the only problem, but I was just speaking from experience.

In fact, I am not saying it is just Asian people.

Whoever does this should be blamed.

Nobody cares if it is Asian people, European people, Hispanic people, etc.

The system of anchor babies should be eliminated to benefit everybody who is already here in the US.

Keep more resources for our own kids, instead of kids of foreigners.

Consulates routinely ask whether a woman is pregnant, purportedly to ensure that she has adequate medical insurance coverage so the US gov't doesn't have to pay for her labor, but in reality it's used to prevent women from giving birth here. The gov't can deny her visa just like that, and it's final as there's no appeal process. To escape this filter Chinese women (all foreign women who need visa, actually), have to secure a visa long before the pregnancy becomes apparent. The CBP has the power to turn away pregnant women on the same financial pretext. To top it off airlines often refuse to take pregnant women onboard, supposedly for safety reason, but it could also because the airline is responsible to fly the women back if the CBP denies them entry. To ensure they can give birth in USA, they need to travel long before the pregnancy is obvious, which means months before birth. Unless you have a relative to stay with, it's not exactly cheap to stay that long.

To secure a tourist visa you need to show enough ties to your home country and considerable asset/money to convince the consular officer that you're going to return, particularly if you're from developing countries not part of NAFTA. It is safe to say that if you're not reasonably wealthy you're not getting a visa.

VERY EASILY. Yeah, right. It might be easy if you're from across the other side of the Rio Grande, but not from far flung developing countries with no free trade agreements with USA.

What substantial evidence? All you said was birthright citizenship is bad.

I find it highly, highly ironic that you advocate giving citizenship to people who break the law while denying it to those who follow it, a constitutional law nonetheless.

Actually I see no issue with anybody ignorant enough to pass a law against such a clear constitutional amendment, because I'm very confident that any supreme court judge with half a brain will shoot it down.

The elimination of the anchor baby system will help keep more resources for our own kids. It is just that simple!

USA gave out about 1 million permanent resident status in 2012 alone, such immigration number would eclipse native population of these little nations in 5-7 years.

You think Lee Kuan Yew, who lives on the other side of the world from USA (literally), is the expert on America? You gotta do better than this.

Lee is in fact one of those who are more optimistic about the future of America. He has been successful enough to re-build a country, which means he is more experienced than any of us here in running a country.

More importantly, he is an outsider not a stake-holder, so that he can speak more objectively about the green card issue and the immigration issue in the US.
