Re: US immigrant stripped of 'dreamer' status in part over alleged gang tattoo
Some people choose to go to work, and guess what? They can still get good jobs with just a high school degree.
My fiance got DACA in september and he just got a job at a reputable place that works with people with disabilities. It comes with CPR training, benefits, OSHA classes,etc... and he only has a high school degree. He moved out when he was 19 and lived on his own, working 2 jobs. He didn't have time for college, but he is extremely smart. There are plenty of people with college degrees that went nowhere in life. |

Some of ya'll need some humble pie "simple lives"...."dont have the brains to go to college"....seriously??? Do you enjoy being THAT judgmental and thinking you're better than everyone? Just remember that the only thing separating you and a "simple person" is a piece of paper that may or may not be taken away. Then you can go work a "simple job" and realize you are not better than everyone else. |

Speaking of college, do you guys remember that story about the DACA recipient suing Wells Fargo because they won't give her that loan for college. Without it she cant attend school. There are obstacles clearly. I understand no excuses, but this just makes it that much harder.

you know how hard it was to go through 6 years of college and masters? sorry but people who put in the time on their education and work experience has a better resume are looked on a higher regard than those who don't. if DACA doesnt work out here for us, im pretty sure other countries will take a look at them and take them in.
There is always someone bigger, tougher, and stronger than you. But as disheartening as that sounds there are always equalizers to level the playing field. Training, intelligence, grit, and work ethic can help get you out of situations where a normal person would fail. Always be looking for that edge that will allow you to prevail. sorry, that's fucking life. for those of us climbing to the top of the food chain, there can be no mercy. There is but one rule: hunt or be hunted. ya'll gotta be ruthless in life man, take your shit everyday. and please don't give me shit about caring about other dreamers getting arrested and play the noble hero promoting equality, no such thing in our case. i'm sure your worried about feeding and providing for yourself and family first. |

How incredibly stupid. The people defending this guy are playing right into the hands of the right-wing jerkoffs. When you're a young undocumented person, you KNOW you have to stay not only out of trouble, but away from it.
And having a kid at 23? In a situation like ours? Hahahaha give me a break. |

Am i in a Fox news message board??
You people are so judgmental. Now you're complaining about people having kids at 23?? I guess that means they are failures in life, right? And honestly who gives a shit about a degree if you have a good job? It is possible to get a good job with just a high school degree. Its called working your way up. But I guess according to most people here, everyone has to be an engineer or a scientist to be considered successful |
