74% of Americans support the Dream Act (https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tan...y-as-children/) 78% of Americans support another $2000 stimulus check (https://fivethirtyeight.com/features...ts-in-georgia/) 67% of Americans support a $15 minimum wage (https://www.brookings.edu/blog/the-a...-minimum-wage/) 94% of Americans support universal background checks for gun purchases (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Univer...rivate%20sales.) Democrats should not allow Republicans to prevent them from delivering legislation that is supported by a sizable majority of the population. If Republicans want to pass their unpopular legislation then let them. The people will show up at the ballot box. |

Something to keep in mind 95% of people commenting on the fox news article aren't regular Republicans, most comes from anti-immgrant forums sites, is what they do. Do you think regular Republicans would educate themselves on keeping track what happened a decade ago on immigration? They come from competing forums and act like if they were the voice of mainstream

Re: Durbin, Graham teaming up on immigration bill
hard to see any compromise coming when the GOP protect members like these:
@KaivanShroff BREAKING: @SpeakerPelosi had to directly intervene to move @CoriBush’s office away from Marjorie Taylor Greene’s after an altercation took place. Greene has repeatedly encouraged violence against Democratic officials. |

Democrats have the power to kill the filibuster and expand voting rights. Who cares if they lose the senate if Biden is president and the democrats can do better once they dismantle gerrymandered maps. 2022 is going to be a blood bath for democrats and more GOP far right crazies will enter the house |

The Dems might lose the senate and/or the house regardless so might as well go for broke and keep the base happy. |

They were afraid to fight for Al Gore, they were afraid to fight for CIR in 2007, they were afraid to fight for gun legislation during Obama, they were afraid to fight for Medicare for All, and now they will be afraid to fight to have their legislation passed through. Democrats currently support legislation that is extremely popular with the American public. A voter in 2022 or 2o24 isn't going to give two flying dogshits about them nuking an archaic and retarded Senate rule, they're going to care whether Trump was convicted, whether a COVID package was passed, whether voting rights were expanded, and whether undocumented immigrants were legalized. Being afraid of nuking the filibuster is for people who have sex in the dark. |
Re: Durbin, Graham teaming up on immigration bill
Democrats will keep the senate in the mid terms.
I don't know about the house, maybe they lose. In any case they better rid of the filibuster and pass some shit. |
