Today I received a letter from the congresswoman dated 3/5 So I'm guessing that the inquiry filed by the congresswomen helped me get approved since i got approved a day later. I would recommend those who have been waiting more than 60 days to get in touch with their local congressman and seek some help from them.

Wow that is awesome! Congrats! What exactly did you say to her? Is she a conservative or pro-dreamer?

yeah she's a democrat who is pro-dream act. I called her office and told her secretary my situation (that I and received a job offer and I needed to receive an answer from immigration regarding the work permit) I asked her if she could please inquire about my case and she said yes but I just needed to fax her a concent form in order to release my information. Regardless if they are conservative or liberal, they should be able to help you

I contacted my congressman and got an E-mail along with a form to fill out and sign. I filled out the form and scanned it , got an email telling me that USCIS was going to be contacted regarding my case. *crossing fingers*!

Re: *****RFE Thread <- (Request for Evidence)****

Just got off the phone with uscis to try to put a service request in for my rfe being more than 60 days old and here's what happened:
First time I called, the lady was very sympathetic and was in the middle of acquiring information from me to fill it out when their system stopped working due to maintenance. She told me to try calling back in a couple hours.
The second time was surprisingly more frustrating. The girl asked my information and told me that she was going to do nothing because of the daca processing time being a sort of "overwrite" of the rfe timeline. She said that even if my rfe was recieved 60+ days ago, my app was received less than 6 months ago. She told me to call back in may.

So my wait continues without any update. Fun times.

^ That's so stupid.

If you received an RFE then that means your other information and Biometrics background was good. All they have to do know is check your RFE, and that should be done within 60 days.

So is there a possibility that she was wrong? Should I try calling again and talking to someone else?

Well, technically, she is wrong. The whole process has a time of 6 months, but if you receive an RFE, the timeline is now 60 days to a decision.

You can try calling again and telling them that your status says you should receive a response within 60 days. Maybe you'll get someone who sees the situation differently.

Maybe the first one could have been a mistake or the RFE was not delivered. Wait and see if this second one arrives.

This one should arrive in less than 15 days. If it doesn't, you should call in for a Service Request.

Here are the steps open to you cus you have passed your 6 months:

1. Service Request
2. Calling
3. Contacting your congressional rep or Senator to inquire abour ur case.

Have you done any of these?

Re: *****RFE Thread <- (Request for Evidence)****

so i haven't received the ref letter but i got a pretty good feeling they are gonna ask me for more evidence of 09 which i dont have much. all that i had for that year was a few online purchases which i sent. i had no bank account at the time i was only employed caused i worked with my step dad hes not a resident. last option is affidavits from current employer who has known me since like 2006 to current date and my landlord. im freaking out that i might get denied for lack of continuous residency proof yet some of those with some criminal record get approved :(
