Thing is some people on this forum are so concerned about themselves that it is disgusting. Because if you really think about it, the people most impacted are the one's who have been here the longest, probably paid taxes the longest and lived in this state of unfairness since THEY WERE KIDS!! Its dumb to say they must be the first to be sacrificed. That is just dumb if you really think about it logically. Even this article(who is this woman anyway?) said it does not substantially decrease the numbers. Something like from 2.1 million(with 35 age cap) to just about 2 million(without age amendment).

meant 2.1 million without age cap and about 2million with a 30 cap

I'm 22 now and I came here when I was 3, that's 19 years. I just realized that's a really long time.

I'm cool with no in state tuition. Well not super cool..But legal status and having a WAY to go after my goals is MUCH MUCH better than a dead end.

It's called working my ass off and having multiple jobs.
Besides, only a few states give in state now... So plenty of us never qualified for it anyway.

lol.. I mean you have to laugh.... cause its either you laugh or you cry at something like that. They want to put that bullshit cap because of 100k people.... an estimated 100k mind you. You know what estimated means? it could either be 100k or 1 thousand.

this is confusing...there are states that give illegal immigrants in-state tuition....if the version of the DA with the out-of-state tuition passes....the ppl who qualify for DA will pay out of state...and ppl that dont qualify will pay in-state in certain states??? hahahaha

Would be nice if they pass the original DREAM Act, but if we get the 2nd bill or whatever then we should all be happy with what we get. That's better than nothing. We have to understand that the republicans don't want to pass anything that relates to immigration unless is something like the Arizona law or securing the borders.

I was just thinking that... But I think we'll probably all be flocking to those states bc well all be able to go to them for instate tuition while the states that dont have it will continue not to. At least thats what makes sense to me.

This new version of the DA doesn't have the in-state tuition language which means that states will continue offering tuition to Dream beneficiaries as they currently are doing.

And it's not as easy as moving to that said state to receive in-state, Duke. You usually have to have graduated from a school in said state.
