So EditorCheif, tell us again why this country can't support more people

Simple. America would stop being America.

We need to keep more spaces for our own kids. We need to encourage our own people to given birth to more of our own babies, instead of counting on foreigners bringing in more babies from the rest of the world. The US cannot afford to share resources with the entire world.

No other country is sharing their resources with the rest of the world. Why should the US do that? Can the US afford to share resources with the entire world?

Whoever does this should be blamed.

Nobody cares if it is Asian people, European people, Hispanic people, etc.

The system of anchor babies should be eliminated to benefit everybody who is already here in the US.

Keep more resources for our own kids, instead of kids of foreigners.

How about kicking all the illegals out first before we punish those coming here legally to take advantage of a constitutionally guaranteed benefit? Everybody except for native Americans were foreigners here.

And his country is a teeny tiny island with 5 million people. While he has more experience than any of us in this forum in government, he most certainly not more qualified than any Mayor of a large USA city.

More importantly, he is an outsider not a stake-holder, so that he can speak more objectively about the green card issue and the immigration issue in the US.
He's an outsider, so he can say whatever (including garbage) because the outcome does not concern him. Whether America flourishes or flounders is not his problem.

Give me numbers of Anchor babies to support your theory that we're supporting the rest of the world. I must warn you that I have prepared the numbers of US foreign aid to compare that with.

The constitution defines what 'America' is, and it says anyone born here is a citizen. Your definition of America is simply wrong.

People already here should be given a path to citizenship, regardless of their existing status.

People in the future should follow legal ways to come to the US.

Loopholes like diversity visa, anchor baby, etc. should be eliminated as completely as possible.

Singapore is one of the US allies in Asia. He certainly wants the US to continue to lead so that they will continue to have somebody to count on.

Mayor? No, he is much experienced than a mayor.

He is the founding father of a country who is successful in transitioning a country from poor to rich. No US mayor is his match!

The system of anchor baby is a way to increase the population of the US, which is my point.

I also argue we should keep those spaces that are occupied by anchor babies reserved for our own kids. It is just that simple!

If you prefer you kids to face worse, stronger competitions from other kids including anchor babies when applying for college/jobs, FINE.

A country of 5 million people. New York city alone has more people than Singapore, yet you insist Lee's view applies for the entire 300 million-strong USA? A country that is not even considered a real democracy? Lee is a tyrant by US standard. What kind of joke is this?

Argue your point with actual statistics and examples relevant to USA, nobody gives two nickels for Lee's opinion about USA.

You're not addressing the constitutionality, you're simply making statements of what should happen according to you, using your own definition. If you simply want to practice demagoguery, you can save it for your own conservative crowd. Here you have to build an actual argument with facts.

Anchor babies are not a 'loophole', they are product of a constitutionally guaranteed benefit. The constitution is the foundation of all the laws in the United States.

By the way, what is a 'loophole' by your definition? A loophole to me is an exception to the general spirit of the law. The spirit of the constitution is equality, so a diversity visa program intended to balance the immigration opportunity to all countries fits that spirit nicely.

I still don't see the numbers of Anchor babies that are supposedly draining our economy.

Show me the numbers, the facts. Save your nativist demagoguery for your own crowd.

Show me the numbers.
