Yeah I’d say it’s pretty straightforward other than two entries. I came here at 3 and went back for a couple of months around the age of 8 or so.

Hey guys. I’m looking to go through AOS in the near future. I’m EWI from Mexico. I heard under this administration it’s risky to go through the process of obtaining the waiver. Any truth?

Yeah both times were EWI. The time I was 8 I went only for like a month or two during Christmas. It was a short enough period of time that I only missed a few weeks of school (some of it was winter break) and I was able to come back and resume the year with my class. This was included in my initial DACA application.

Hopefully we'll get an approval soon and the rest of the process will go smoothly. Last resort is to wait out my wife becoming a USC which will be sometime towards the end of 2018. Been a long road but staying hopefully.

You got your I-130 approved on 2013? When did you waited so long before filing for I-601A? What did you put down for hardship?

Congrat!!!!!

Thanks! My wife is still an LPR so the waiver process only got opened for LPR spouses last summer. We used a combination of financial, emotional, and psychological stress to prove hardship. Lawyers really put forth a strong case I think.
