Yeah whatever im not gonna keep arguing like our ilegallass opinion would change anything.
My point is that instead of hoping they disqualify people because of their age you should be hoping more people in your same situation gets some sort of relief. But thats just me.
Are you scared the number of beneficiaries is too high it will get discarded?

So you expect a 16 or 17 year old to stay back in his home country and fend for themselves? They will have no choice but to cross over with their family. You make no sense ! Were you independent and providing for yourself when you were that age?

Many kids at 17 or 16 were providing themselves in my neighborhood. Did you ever live in the hood? Moms used to make the kids sell drugs to be able to support the house.

I'm okay with a 16 year old getting dream act as long as they have been here 5 years and before 2012. I think that's the dream act rules. Or am I confusing it with DACA?

If Dream Act was stand alone bill, I would say they would be dreaming. But now that the Republicans punted DA till the spending bill they have significantly less leverage. Last government shutdown cost $24 billion for 16 days. Republicans and Trump will have a hard time selling that the government shutdown was Democrats fault during election years. There is still need to be compromise but Republicans don't have a great hand when it comes to the spending bill.

Not everyone grows up in the hood or sell drugs. I know people in their twenties who can't think and provide for themselves.

Unfortunately no one ask about 20 year old who can't provide for themselves. OP asked about 16 or 17 if he or she provided for themselves.

Does it even matter? If a 20 year old can’t even provide for themselves, then what makes you think a minor (18 and under ) could? . I’m done with this conversation!

It depends on person. There are a lot of 16 year olds that come just to work. They work at anything they can find, from car wash to dishwasher to selling on the streets.
