Question 14 is place of entry, so is border crossing if you entered by foot or car. The border point near Tijuana is San Ysidro, CA (The San Ysidro Border Crossing)

Someone told me instead of NO LAWFUL STATUS(what does it mean?) to put ENTRY WITHOUT INSPECTION! so which one is the better choice? |
Re: OFFICIAL: Q&A for DACA forms Part 2
Do you know how you entered. I was actually reading the AVVO suggestions.
if you entered by car put "waived at border-no lawful status." The lawyers on AVVO were highly suggesting not to put EWI. So, I would put No Lawful status. I'm kinda bummed I put EWI because I crossed by car last time. |

Re: OFFICIAL: Q&A for DACA forms Part 2
Well, there were two cases one in 2010 and one last year set precedent that if you were waived crossing the border sleeping in a car that you are considered entered with inspection. So, the AVVO.com (attorneys providing answers to immigration questions) state that you should put waived at border-no lawful status and avoid using EWI. But, otherwise put EWI.
If you had status before and but came in with no status you put No lawful status. But, I have seen No lawful status and EWI used interchangeably. The lawyers that I have worked with both said EWI. |
Re: OFFICIAL: Q&A for DACA forms Part 2
Also make sure to keep everything constant and stick with whatever way you entered
