Pff dont count on it...
I sent in my app after you, oct 29th, got RFEd on March, submitted evidence in April, and still nothing...the latest I heard from the Nebraska center is that my case is still pending adjudication, this was back in June...

Good luck! Hope yours doesnt take as long as mine, but many of us late 2012 applicants are still waiting. :(

Thanks for the good wishes!
The best part about what you've told us is that your app is being sent to the California service center...The Cali center is one of the centers w/ the fastest turn around!

You shouldnt be waiting too long unless you get RFEd!

Buena suerte!

Ah well, I gathered all my stuff and sent it in today with expedited mail so it gets there tomorrow

Re: *****RFE Thread <- (Request for Evidence)****

Got an RFE last month (after 8 months trying to get an update) due to the fact that in 2001 I was able to get temporary employment by a local consulate. I worked for only 3 months and obtained an A2-visa and with this I was able to get a SS# to get a drivers license. After my employment was done at the consulate, I automatically went back to my "undocumented status" even though the visa was valid for a year but technically only valid for my duration of employment. After those three months, I've lived in 4 different cities and worked with various employers. It seems as if though the officer in charge of my case is either really picky or just pulling my chain! They specifically requested evidence that I am no longer employed by the consulate AND after 11 years since I worked there! Talk about lacking "common sense." Anyways, tomorrow is day 30 of waiting for the California center to give me response of the evidence I submitted, which are two letters, one from the General Consul and the second from the Vice-Consul who I worked under stating that their records indicate that I have not been employed by the consulate after 2001. Both letters on "official" government letterhead paper. Not only has it been a frustrating experience, but I hope that the officer looking at my case is satisfied with the "evidence" provided. In the meantime, I hope and pray that my RFE and all of yours go smoothly and have a positive outcome!

Good luck. Maybe the officer was having a 'bad hair day'...I'm sure what you sent will be enough. ;)

After you guys sent your evidence, did your case status change saying that they received the evidence? or did it stay the same (that they sent you an rfe notice) until they approved your case???

I got an RFE because my lawyer forgot to check the box for a simple "yes" or "no" question. :( Waste money and time

My case status changed three days after usps tracking number confirmed USCIS had recieved my rfe. It will say the date they recieved the rfe.

Help please! I received my RFE in June. It was dated June 7th. Said I had 33 days from that date to reply. Sent it in and it was received on July 1st according to USPS. This makes it 24 days. Received an email last week stating I had been denied. When I received the letter it stated I didn't reply within the amount of days noted. I have all the evidence showing I did. The letter said I can't file an appeal or motion to reopen. If it was their error, what do I do??!! :-(

Don't freak out.
What happened to you is considered an administrative error.
Call them and let them kno whats going on.
Then resend the info from USPS and copies of your RFE letter and the "denial" letter....write your own letter and let them kno whats going on.
Before sending it off, ask a second level officer at USCIS who to send it and to which lock box.

Re: *****RFE Thread <- (Request for Evidence)****

Help! Hello I got an RFE two weeks ago, it's asking me for proof of continuous residency for 2009 and 2010? what can i send them? I'll try to get a letter notarized form my landlord, but other than that i have very little evidence and I didn't use facebook, nor did I work or go to college or went to a hospital/clinic. I did use forums and only played PC games, and my email account.

Also the RFE says this " Also, evidence is required to show that you resided, in the United States, on or before June 15, 2007."

I have very little evidence or none of the exact date of June 15, 2007, but it says "before" so that means I can mail them evidence from 2006/2005? because that's the only evidence I have before June 15, 2007? I suppose they are NOT asking for evidence from months past June 2007 or June 15 ? Would evidence from 2006/2005 work? Please let me know I need to make sure. Thank you so much in advance! and god bless you all!

Yup. We both filed at the same time and waited 7 months to get RFEd. Here is what they asked:

Brother: Proof of continued stay from 2007 to filing date of Dec 04, 2012; proof of identity (since they apparently weren't sure that he was who he said he was, despite school transcripts and the like); proof of continued education (apparently, his HS transcripts weren't good enough to prove that he was in fact still in school)

Me: Proof that I was here on June 15, 2012 (the day that DACA was announced)

thats alot that they are asking for your brother , have you guys sent it in already ?

as for me , to cover up the 5 years residency i used hs transcripts from 07-2010 , graduated 2010 may , and january 2011 i was placed in removal , and been in it ever since , so pretty much used that paper work to cover up 2010-2012 .

um as for june 15th i made a payment that night and showed receit to proove , i can honestly say i covered it pretty good , unless of course my lawyer didnt sent it in an appropriate way and uscis didnt get to see my stuff properly

Yeah, we sent everything in ASAP (for brother 2 days after he got his RFE and the next day for me after I got mine)

That all sounds good, but then again I thought the same for myself and my brother's stuff. Try to gather stuff already, stuff you haven't already sent. Prepare some forms your friends or co-workers can sign as affidavits that you were were. And try the fastest shipping you can afford. I paid the next day, $19 one and it did get there the next day. I got an e-mail and text from USCIS saying they'd received it

Yeah, anything you can send. For this RFE I sent this: iTunes account summary, Amazon and eBay account summaries, AMC Stubs Rewards purchase summary, Xbox Live info, bank statements, and a signed letter from my employer, non-notarized.

I guess notarized would be good, but then again, honestly, enough letters and it's kind of hard to deny that you were here.

Basically, your friend/co-worker would have to write it or type it up. It doesn't have to be long, just in as professional/serious a tone as possible (big word time lol), just saying the following: how long they've known you, that they can certify you were in the United States from ____ to _____, their signature and contact information.
