As part of COVID relief, the president-elect and Democratic leadership could decide to include measures offering legal status to essential workers via a process known as budget reconciliation, and that would only need 51 votes to pass the Senate..

Many of you believe you're special because Obama was compassionate and gave you DACA. Just understand there are people that came here as children before you, are good citizens of their community, have paid a lot more taxes than any of you and are still in the shadows.

Either Dream Act, which already pass the house under Pelosy , or nothing. If they want to do full CIR great. It makes me mad to heard some of the DACA illegal immigrants throwing other immigrants that are more senior than them under the bus, get it into your thick skull you are not special there are plenty of immigrants before you in the line. If it was up to me, VOID DACA and start from scratch.

DACA was a fault executive order, that has slowed the process for everybody else, and have left you DACA'rs in the limbo .. just delete and enact a law that makes sense.

To be honest, a lot of these Dreamers are being realistic about bill that has the best probability of passing and becoming law.

I don’t think nobody wants to throw other immigrants under the bus, at least not me. However I do think a piecemeal immigration approach is a lot more doable. That’s just the sad reality of it.

We all would like to see of course a bill covering everything we’d like. But that’s not going to happen. Specially under the circumstances that were in.

If Dreamers approach this situation with the mentality of “we want everything or nothing”. We will most likely end up with nothing and come 2022 there is a big probability the Republicans will either win back the House or the Senate and then we can completely kiss our chances good bye again.

I'm a gig worker and my job allows me to go back to work anytime i want, but I've decided to just stay at home since April of 2020 and just collect unemployment for the sake of my and my family's health.

Do you think i should go back to work maybe 1-2 days a week now if Biden's new plan is only going to cover the "essential people" working this pandemic?

That's sort of dumb if he just ignores DACA folks who were collecting unemployment all together.
